2020 BILD Calgary Region winners announced

The best of the best in Calgary’s new home building industry this year were announced at the 2020 BILD Calgary Region Awards, that celebrated innovation and resiliency among the local homebuilders and land developers.

In the face of daunting challenges – not the least of which was the pandemic – Calgary’s new home industry continued to grow. The winners of this year’s awards personified this strength, says BILD Calgary Region CEO, Brian Hahn, as he congratulated all who participated in the annual celebrations.

“2020 was a year like no other for all of us, professionally and personally. Our industry pivoted quickly, introducing innovations and protocols to safely facilitate home sales, renovations and business operations. We kept safely building and developing, helping people realize the dream of owning a home they love,” he says.

Among the biggest winners were Morrison Homes, who took the Grand Award for Single-Family Builder of the Year - Large Volume, and Logel Homes, who won for Multi-Family Builder of the Year – Large Volume.

The BILD Calgary Region (previously Calgary Region Home Builders Association) Grand Builder of the Year Award goes to the city’s top homebuilder determined with input from the industry and customers. Morrison Homes has won the award 14 times since 2000, this is Logel Homes’ first Grand Builder of the year Award.

Dave Gladney, President & CEO of Morrison Homes says this is the perfect way to celebrate the builder’s 60th anniversary.

Other Grand Builder of the Year winners are: Dream Ridge Homes (Single-Family - Small Volume); Urban Indigo Fine Homes (Multi-Family – Small Volume); Ultimate Renovations (Renovator of the Year); and Avid Ratings (Partner of the Year).
