Toronto’s downtown dwellers, workers and visitors are in for a treat with a new development that is sure to wow crowds, offering 251,000 square metres of office space between Front St. and Lake Shore Blvd. Real estate developer, Ivanhoé Cambridge, is partnering with Metrolinx, Ontario’s regional transportation agency for Greater Toronto and Hamilton, to create this extremely impressive office building in Toronto's financial core.

The development will comprise of two 48-story towers, an elevated park over the Union Station rail corridor deemed ‘Sky Park,’ and top-notch architectural design by UK-based firm, Wilinson Eyre. As good as this all sounds, the most anticipated feature of the development is the brand new GO Transit bus terminal located in the podium of the South tower, 45 Bay Street. The new bus terminal will provide direct access to both Union Station and the PATH network.

Paul Gleeson, executive vibe-president of Global Development at Ivanhoe Cambridge, stated in a press release: “We are in the position to leverage our capabilities to deliver a superior project. 45-141 Bay Street will be an architectural landmark of downtown Toronto.” Judging by the renderings, it looks like this new development will be an incredible addition to the Toronto skyline and we're looking forward to seeing who the lucky occupants will be.

Construction will begin in 2015, and is slated for completion sometime in 2018.
