Landsdowne Park is ready to go!

Sure, residents of the Glebe fought this tooth and nail, but the reality is, Landsdowne Park will greatly benefit, not only real estate values in the Glebe, but the city as a whole.

This is not just an arena to host the Ottawa RedBlacks (in case you didn’t know, we have a football team!). It’s also home to 18 acres of green space, 280 residential units, and 360,000 sq.ft. of commercial space, which includes a Whole Foods and a large movie theatre. The stadium also seats 24,000 people!

We know that Bank St is already congested, which is why the city has put measures in place to keep football fans from driving to the games. There are free buses to take people to the park, which keeps many cars out of the area.

Landsdowne was in dire need of a facelift, and this is better than any of us could have expected. Of course there will still be those who find something to complain about, but overall, this is a great addition to our city and to the downtown core.
