Which sitcom are you living - Life is a sitcom Part IV

Do you ever think, “my life could be a TV sitcom?” Maybe it could be. Maybe it already is. Sitcoms are modelled after real life, but sometimes you find life imitates art - and find your life is a sitcom - or worthy of TV ratings anyways.

No matter where you are in life – student living or newly coupled - you might be living just like some of TV’s most prominent characters. If you feel your life is a sitcom, read on to find out which one:

Student Living like Shoshanna: Student living can be a challenge or it can be the best living arrangement you’ll ever have. If you’re student living like Shoshanna from Girls HBO, you have the ultimate girly SoHo apartment! Your pad is playful and includes some of the most common girly staples; a Sex and The City poster, a lot of pink and an obligatory eiffel-tower-something, somewhere. Of course, your pad also comes with the hefty price tag of $2,100 a month, which your parents gladly pay. With all that room and rent stress off your shoulders, you don’t even mind letting your foreign cousin crash at your place on the regular. Enjoy these last few years of princess pampering. When you’re living the student life like Shoshanna - life is good.

First Apartment Living like Max and CarolinE: If you can’t depend on your parents anymore, but you still can’t quite make it on your own - you’re living like Max and Caroline from 2 Broke Girls. Who said roommates were only for student living? If your rental is anything like their Brooklyn apartment, your pad is budget friendly. The furniture is mismatched, the wall art is a little confusing but you try to bring everything together with a few great accessories. Still you have everything you need! Almost enough to run a cupcake business like Max and Caroline and even enough room for a horse. Ok minus the horse, if this remotely describes you, you’re living like 2 Broke Girls.

Professional Living like Samantha Jones: You know you’ve made it big when you’re living in the big apple like Samantha Jones in Sex and the City. This public relations mavenruns her own company, on her own time and by her own rules. Her very classy and sexy pad in the Meatpacking District reflects her power-woman personality. The open-concept loft has a very minimalist style. It’s big enough for one and a guest, just like Samantha likes it. If you’re making it big and having a lot of fun, you’re probably living professionally like Samantha Jones.

Newly Coupled Living like Mindy and Danny: How could Mindy ever leave her brownstone pad on The Mindy project? The things we do for love! If you’re in between places with your on again/off again significant other, you’re probably living the newly coupled life like Mindy and Danny. Thankfully you still have your own place if ever you get the boot. Still, slowly but surely you’re leaving small items like your tooth brush and clean clothes at each others homes. Whether it’s true love or (spoiler alert) a surprise pregnancy, move-in day may be fast approaching. The question is - who is moving and where?

Family Living like Frank and Estelle: Having your 40-year-ld son move back home is not the best situation, but as they say, “there’s no place like home.” In Seinfeld, the Costanzas generously welcome their son George back home when he is suddenly left unemployed. It wouldn’t be a bad situation for George if his parents weren’t so annoying. The two-story brick home located in New York is a gem. If you are well into your retirement years, you have children still living at home and your place is decked out in 70s decor, you’re probably living like Frank and Estelle Costanza.
