Offering convenient access to major arteries, an abundance of surrounding amenities, and ample opportunity to stay active outdoors, Carrington South in northwest Calgary is a place families are gravitating to.

Created by APEX and H3 Developments on 115 acres of land just west of Centre Street N., south of 144th Avenue and north of Stoney Trail, Carrington South will be home to 800 residential units upon completion.

The community offers landscaped ponds, parks, playgrounds, local and regional pathways with seating areas. Plus, throughout the greater Carrington community, residents can enjoy access to a basketball court, skate park, public artwork and the Greenway Park playground.

However, the biggest draw for buyers is the location, says APEX Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator Morgan Gowland. “It’s awesome; it’s so easy to hop onto major routes to get to the airport, downtown or out to the mountains and there is so much shopping within a few minutes’ drive away, as well as the Vivo (recreation) Centre and Landmark cinema nearby.”

And, as part of the city’s Keystone Hills area structure plan, residents will enjoy future connections to countless commercial areas, employment opportunities and an LRT station.

“Carrington South also offers buyers a chance to live in the northwest at a great price,” Gowland says, noting prices start from the $320,000s for street towns (no condo fees), $340,000s for laned duplexes, and $460,000s for front-drive homes. “And, Carrington South has pond lots, offering buyers plenty of lifestyle options.”

Trico Homes, which is building front-drive homes, is thrilled to have “all the walkout lots that are available on the pond in this phase,” says Area Manager Jordan Fretz. “These are traditional wide lots that are hard to come by in the northwest, so it is a great opportunity in Carrington South, especially having a view of the pond in your backyard – it has been the most sought after feature in the community.”

Excel Homes is building front-drive homes along with laned duplexes in Carrington South. Leon Kang, area manager for front-drive homes, says the homes “feature all new designs, with the latest finishes and materials, having just updated all our selections with the latest trends and products.”

He notes that buyers are attracted to Carrington South because it’s a “very exclusive, small and beautifully designed area.”

Homes in the community are of Prairie Modern, Urban Modern, and Carriage House architectural styles, and, “every home built is thoughtfully designed to maximize curb appeal, minimize repetition and provide lasting value,” Gowland says.

Truman Homes, which is crafting both street towns and front-drive homes, “introduced two new plans for the opening of Carrington South – Twilight and Mystic. One is based on a popular estate-style home we previously built in our southwest communities and both are featured as showhomes,” says Client Service Specialist Dipali Damji.

“We are a high spec builder and buyers appreciate being able to view available finishes in the showhomes.”

The builders have eight fabulous showhomes open Monday to Thursday, 2-8 p.m., and weekends and holidays, noon-5 p.m. For more information, visit the showhomes or carringtonsouth.com.
