CHBA Edmonton Region celebrates 65 years!

On June 26, the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Edmonton Region hosted a 65 year Anniversary Member Appreciation Grill & Chill event, which recognized their remarkable members that have supported the Association for more than six decades.

The event was held at the Old Timer’s Cabin, and featured an authentic BBQ dinner, dessert bar, and tasting stations that guests enjoyed throughout the evening. In attendance were CHBA-ER CEO Laura Bruno, CHBA-ER past-president Greg Nakatsui, CHBA-ER vice-president Marie Soprovich, and current CHBA-ER president Bryce Milliken, who shared some words of gratitude with the Association members. Milliken noted the success of the CHBA-ER and acknowledged some original members who have dedicated their time to the organization since its existence – back when it was called the Edmonton House Builders’ Association. He thanked members for their volunteer efforts, and praised their outstanding work, which has helped shape the non-profit into the successful and respected organization that it is today.

The volunteer-focused CHBA-ER has become a trusted peer community and resource centre for the residential construction industry. Through advocacy, education and recognition via its Awards of Excellence, the CHBA-ER continues to lead the industry toward achieving high standards and marking the region as one of the best in the country. By bringing together homebuilding experts and industry professionals, the CHBA-ER is able to achieve great things within the Edmonton Region and is able to help guide members toward meeting the changing housing needs within the community.

The goal of the CHBA-ER is to provide tools and expertise for members’ success within the residential construction industry. This is particularly important in the growing Edmonton Region – the CHBA-ER is in tune with the changing homebuyer needs and works to ensure the industry can provide affordable housing choices that don’t sacrifice quality.
