If a picture is worth a thousand words, for new-home shoppers, a walk through a decorated, furnished model is priceless. It’s fun, eclectic and calming.”

Hardwood flooring graces the Great Room, dining room and master bedroom for continuity. In the master bedroom, an ink blue spread follows the theme of jewel-one accents. In the sumptuous master ensuite, wallpaper gives the look of tile, and dark cabinetry sets off the multiple neutrals. The second bedroom’s leather-tufted feature wall actually features wallpaper! “We had fun with this teenage girl’s room,” Swayze says. “The white bedding has furry red pillows for a pop of colour, and the white ensuite has an attractive geometric mirror frame.”

In the Willowglen model, the third bedroom could easily be an office. Swayze appointed it for a pre-adolescent boy who could have friends over to play video games at the desk. This room shares a bath with the fourth bedroom, which is decorated as a nursery with a safari theme. In the finished lower level, which has a bedroom, games area and bathroom, Swayze says they had a teen retreat in mind.

The Willowglen model is 3,637 sq. ft., with 843 sq. ft. of finished lower level. Heathwood has a selection of single-family homes available starting from $778,900 to $1,069,900 ranging in size from 2,038 sq. ft. to 3,422 sq. ft.
