From first-time buyers to seasoned home purchasers, savvy people are turning to Emerald City as their lifestyle choice and financial investment. The master-planned community at Sheppard Avenue East and Don Mills Road in North York is close to the Don Mills subway station, moments to Hwy. 401 and Hwy. 404/DVP, and across from Fairview Mall. With more than 175 stores and services, restaurants and cinemas, it is a popular and convenient shopping destination.

On the heels of the highly successful The Park Club Condominiums, Emerald City is gearing up to launch The Peak, its newest and most anticipated phase in the community. The Peak will be a sleek, 33-storey tower sitting on top of an approximately five-storey podium. The Peak is planned to offer outstanding amenities for recreational and entertainment pursuits, including a party room and private dining, an indoor pool and a sauna. Suite configurations include one-bedroom, one-bedroom-plus-den/flex, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom-plus-den/flex units ranging from 475 to 928 sq. ft. The Peak will also feature four three-bedroom, two-storey townhomes from 962 to 1,635 sq. ft.

Danielle Mercier is a purchaser at The Park Club at Emerald City, which is already under construction, with occupancies slated for early 2019. A good selection of units still remains, with prices currently starting from the high $200’s.

Danielle presently lives in a nearby condo in North York, but was so impressed with how Emerald City has been shaping up that she jumped at the chance to buy in this community.

“When Emerald City first came to the market, I knew it would be ideal for me, as I work near there. However, at that time, I had just purchased a condo downtown to live in,” she explains. “Driving by every day, I saw the community being developed and I loved it. When The Park Club came along, I decided to buy a unit.”

Danielle, who works for a pharmaceutical company, says she loves the community plan. “That’s what really attracted me. The area is growing and the new Parkway Forest Community Centre is already constructed and in use.” The Community Centre is the largest in North York, and is home to a gym, green roof, rooftop garden, running track, arts-and-crafts room, commercial teaching kitchen, youth lounge, meeting rooms and YMCA-run day care. The Community Centre also has an aquatic centre comprised of an outdoor pool and pavilion.

I’m extremely confident about the Emerald City development. This is good investment and it will be a great place to live. I can’t wait to move in!”

Danielle purchased the 599-sq.-ft. one-bedroom-plus-den suite with two bathrooms. “I love the flexibility of the plan, but I’m also really excited about the great building amenities.” Among them are The Park Club’s grand roundabout entry and elegant lobby housing 24-hour concierge service. She looks forward to using The Park Club’s spa with its plunge pools, steam room, infrared sauna, heated stone benches, showers, individual change rooms and an outdoor Zen terrace.

Danielle’s enthusiasm is contagious. Friends and colleagues respect the investment acumen she has shown with her condo purchases in the past, and after receiving information from her on The Park Club, two co-workers have purchased suites as well. “I’m extremely confident about the Emerald City development. This is good investment and it will be a great place to live. I can’t wait to move in!” Danielle says.

Emerald City is being developed by an Elad Canada subsidiary. In recent years, the company has shifted its focus from income-producing properties to development sites, specializing in mid- and highrise condominium development and master-planned communities in Toronto and Montréal.
