Empire Communities: Homes across southwestern Ontario

Empire Communities' core values of caring, optimism and trust inform everything the company does. It is these intrinsic values that have guided it from its start more than 20 years ago. Empire is proud to have earned more than 100 domestic and international awards for design, marketing, sales and Green building – and more importantly earned, the trust and loyalty of 10,000-plus homebuyers.

Empire has more than 4,000 homes enrolled in Energy Star for New Homes, Canada’s most successful Green building program. The company has been actively involved in this program since its inception in 2007. As an early adopter of this Greener standard, it’s become part of its culture to seek out the best new sustainable designs.

Energy Star qualified homes are approximately 20 per cent more energy efficient than those built to minimum building code requirements. Energy savings every month and peace of mind are the two most important benefits a homeowner can count on when they buy an Energy Star qualified home. An Energy Star qualified home is a high performance home that’s better for you and the environment.

These Green building efforts have resulted in the Green Builder of the Year Award from several associations, most recently the Hamilton Halton Home Builders’ Association (HHHBA) for 2015 Green Builder of the Year.

Empire was approached by the Mike Holmes team to join his exclusive Holmes Approved Homes program. Excited to collaborate with the Holmes Program, Empire reinforced the high-level of home building standards across all lowrise communities. This program integrates cutting edge building products and technology with proven building practices that go above and beyond residential building standards, from construction to final inspection.

Empire is dedicated to enhancing the lives of its homebuyers in the communities in which it builds. The company is an active volunteer throughout the province and have participated in several fundraising initiatives, including Habitat for Humanity; $250,000 sponsorship to Brantford’s Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre; $33,000 to David Hornell Jr. School for an outdoor classroom; and $45,000 to the Brantford Home Builders’ Association (BHBA) Annual Luncheon.

What’s next for Empire? Growth will continue in southwestern Ontario with an emphasis towards Green living and affordable luxury living. With lots of fantastic communities on the go and even more in the works, we’re excited to continue creating inspiring places to live and to help our customers achieve their homeownership dreams. We only hope that you’ll honour us with the opportunity to find the perfect home for you.

Regardless of the community and home styles being built, Empire promises to create inspiring new places to live by being pioneers in the industry, by offering customers more and by caring for the world around us.
