For months, Flora and James had watched the signs announcing Gilmore Place. They loved the Brentwood location close to where Flora worked as a science lab assistant for the Burnaby School Board, and the SkyTrain Station to Vancouver; they just hadn’t considered downsizing from their 4,000-sq.-ft. house.
When the presentation centre opened, they thought, “Well, why not check it out?” That was when they fell in love.

“We originally bought a home on the 58th floor, but then the top floor suites came on the market,” Flora says. “Onni worked with us so we could move up to a sub-penthouse without penalty. And we were also able to upgrade our flooring to wide-plank laminate throughout — which is going to be wonderful.”

“We love how good Gilmore Place’s amenities are going to be,” Flora says. “We’ll have an indoor pool, an entertaining lounge with chef’s kitchen, and a guest suite — which will be great when we have family staying over.”

Although their move-in date is still awhile away, Flora says she and James are already thinking about a celebratory party with the kids and other family members. “This is going to be a whole new phase in our lives. It’s exciting, and we won’t have the upkeep on a big house.”
