Dr. Amrit Saini is always looking toward the future.

In 1998, he opened the first veterinary hospital in Innisfil, because he believed the town would grow over time.

Recently, he and his wife Parvin, purchased a contemporary Radiance townhomes, DIAM Developments’ new community located at 7th Line and Webster Boulevard. With the first release now sold out, the developer is preparing to launch sales at the second release in early spring.

Says Dr. Saini, “Our townhome may become an investment, or possibly a home base for our son, a University of Guelph student.”

Either way, Dr. Saini has great faith in this purchase. “I have seen the potential in Innisfil for over 20 years,” he says. “This is a developing area that still has a small-town appeal. We have Lake Simcoe and ski hills nearby, and we’re close to both Barrie and the GTA. For us, Innisfil is a great place to raise a family.”

He should know. Innisfil Veterinary Hospital is situated on a three-acre property at 1538 Innisfil Beach Rd., where the Sainis also built a home and raised their son. Today, Dr. Saini’s parents also live with them, and he has three associate vets working for him.

“It is not surprising that more families are moving here all the time, and that this development is so successful,” Dr. Saini says. “The community is close to parks, schools, shopping, restaurants, recreational facilities and more. Growing up, our son enjoyed water sports, skiing and other activities in the area. This is an excellent hometown for young families, retirees and everyone in-between.”

A visionary entrepreneur, Dr. Saini monitored the town’s growth over the years. When he learned about Radiance, he did some research and drove around town to see what other new communities were popping up. “I was at the Radiance Presentation Centre opening, and I really liked the modern urban look of their designs,” he adds. “The community is very close to the new GO Train station, so I believe there will always be a demand for homes in the area. Other locals to whom I have spoken agree with me.

“In addition, DIAM’s prices were more attractive than their competition.” In fact, prices at Radiance are 30 to 40 per cent lower than they are for similar developments in Markham and Richmond Hill.

The Sainis purchased a 1,539-sq.-ft. town with three bedrooms. “It will be beautiful,” he says. “When I moved here 20 years ago, Innisfil seemed like a distant northern place with plenty of snow. But I saw it as a community with tremendous opportunity. That’s also how my family and I see our townhome purchase at Radiance.”
