Heartland sets the beat in Cochrane

Amidst the immense blue skies and golden grass fields of Cochrane, Heartland has always set the standard for family-friendly living in this dynamic Western Heritage town. It is no wonder that new homebuyers cannot get enough of the idyllic, easy-living serenity it offers.

Demand in its latest phase (Phase 3) has been so strong that there are already limited opportunities left there. Yet, there is more to look forward to as excitement ramps up for the new home products that are already pre-selling in the next phase (Phase 7).

There is also eager anticipation for the continued development of its new commercial site that is already providing welcome amenities to residents, including a Petro Canada gas station, Tim Hortons, and Star Liquor. A daycare is soon to open, too.

Heartland’s developer, APEX, gathered a well-respected builder group that have provided a wide range of home products to suit all the lifestyles and budgets. They include Excel Homes (APEX’s builder arm), Pacesetter by Sterling Homes and Rohit Communities.

Pacesetter Homes area manager, Dianne Blackman, says they offer several new floorplans, including bungalows and move-up homes with four-bedrooms as a standard.

“Lots in Phase 3 include walkout options. Our 1,849 square-foot Ellis 2 is one of our best sellers, boasting an open concept main floor with a large kitchen for entertaining and spacious bedrooms.” Pacesetter’s single-family homes start from the $400,000s.

In the upcoming Phase 7, Rohit Communities is introducing a new front/back duplex model. “These unique front/back style duplexes have the curb appeal and appearance of an upscale single-family home,” says Rohit marketing coordinator, Stuart Wen. “The home is purposefully designed to have one duplex with a double front attached garage and the other has parking accessed from the back lane.” Their duplexes start from the $310,000s.

For the first time in Heartland, single-family laned homes will be available too, exclusively by Excel Homes.

“We are now selling laned homes that start at $347,000 with five different floor plans to choose from,” says Excel Homes area manager, Michelle Walker. “Our laned homes offer a loft option which provides an additional floor of living space without having to develop the basement. This loft option is also available on a few of our move-up single family home models as well.”

Excel’s new Kendrick show home (located on 57 Morgan Street) has been built with a loft to show case this beautiful and versatile living space.

For those looking to make the move now, quick possession duplex and single-family front-drive garage homes are available from both Pacesetter and Excel. Rohit has some quick possession townhomes as well, which include a rear detached garage.

Heartland itself is located just off Highway 1A and 22, and features two beautiful playgrounds, lush landscaping, amazing mountain views, and access to the river. Plus, it’s close to the town centre and the mountains beyond!
