What’s Happening

The long awaited 210 Avenue opens in Calgary’s southwest bringing a new spirit of accessibility and connectedness to the new communities west of Macleod Trail.

This new road provides new access to the three Anthem United communities of Belmont, Pine Creek and Sirocco at Pine Creek. “These three communities are the best-connected communities in Calgary with quick access to Stoney or Macleod Trail via 194th Avenue, Sheriff King Street and the brand new 210th Avenue,” says Anthem United senior marketing manager, Megan Starke. But even though they are accessible, these rapidly growing communities are still set back from these major highways providing quiet neighbourhoods for families to enjoy but quick access to all the amenities they need, she adds.

“The new 210th Avenue brings West Macleod closer to the new Ring Road which will make accessing any part of Calgary a breeze. Grocery stores and other shops, services and restaurants can all be found moments from your doorstep including Shawnessy Village, Silverado Shopping Centre and the Gates of Walden. This shorter commute to Macleod Trail makes it quicker than ever to get to major retailers like Superstore and Walmart in Shawnessy.

The Cambridge

STARS grand prize home in Legacy

Trico Homes is once again flexing its considerable skill in creating stylishly distinctive homes as it builds its fourth STARS Lottery grand prize home. Located in the gorgeous southeast community of Legacy, Trico’s $1.1 million Cambridge showhome will headline one of the city’s most eagerly awaited charity events.

“Our team couldn’t be more proud to design and build the Calgary Lottery Home for the fourth straight year,” says Wanda Palmer, Vice President, Marketing. “At Trico, we bring our very best to every community we live and work in, and we’re honoured to have this opportunity to help support STARS Air Ambulance and the critical life-saving work they do for Albertans each and every day.”

The pandemic may impact the ability to see this home in person, as the showhome will not be open to the public, but interested parties will be able to view it virtually on the STARS website. Check out the STARS lottery website – www.starslotteryalberta.ca – for updates and to buy tickets.
