Let the festivals begin

Festival season arrives in our city with Taste of Edmonton taking over Capital Plaza from July 18-28. Explore more than 50 locally owned restaurants and food trucks serving up some signature dishes and drinks, all while enjoying over 30 musical acts that are set to rock the stage this year. Did you know Edmonton hosts over 30 festivals during the summer months? It’s no wonder we’ve picked up ‘Festival City’ as a nickname!

To market, to market

Summer kickoff

Beaverbrook Communities welcomed summer with a pet-friendly event at ONE at Keswick! Guests and (furry friends) were treated to delicious food from North Fork Food Truck, ice cream from Pinocchio Ice Cream, and tons of activities including puppy portraits, a balloon artist and face painter - plus FLOPPS Dog Training, Currents Veterinary Centre, and Zoe’s Animal Rescue were all on site. All the beautiful showhomes were also on display and ready for guests to tour throughout the day. This unique community definitely stands out from others in the area, with specific architectural guidelines that showcase contemporary modern and prairie modern homes. You’ll also find tons of amenities nearby, including a commercial plaza, beautiful greenspace, and two top-rated golf courses.

New neighbourhood

Anthem United celebrated the grand opening of its new southeast community – McConachie Heights! Over 200 guests came out to explore several of the new front garage and laned homes and were treated to some indulgent snacks from Bully Food Truck, treats and activities for the kids, plus had the chance to win a $500 Costco gift card. Conveniently located east of 66 Street on McConachie Boulevard, near Anthony Henday Drive, this flourishing community offers 124 acres of greenspace that includes walking trails, scenic parks, and a pond. Plus, fantastic amenities like schools and tons of shopping are all found just moments away. Stay tuned for two duplex showhomes that are set to open later this summer.

Grand opening

Carrington Communities held the grand opening of its new showsuites at the Elements Windermere on June 22. Visitors spent the day touring through two stylish condos, each with a distinctive floorplan and urban-inspired interior look. The building itself also impressed, with a modern exterior style and the added convenience of heated underground parking for residents. Located at 394 Windermere Road NW, these condos are surrounded by an amenity rich community that features boutique shops and restaurants, and plenty of services and entertainment destinations located nearby. The Elements Windermere condos are starting from $150,900 for a one-bedroom option, and $170,900 for two-bedrooms, making it an excellent option for young professionals who are looking for their first place.
