Easy appointments
I stopped by Cardel Homes (shown above) to see Betsy at the Blackstone office and we had a lovely socially distanced visit. All of Cardel’s offices are virtually open for business seven days a week — and it’s easy- peasy to set up an appointment. Just visit cardelhomes.com. Richcraft opens models and sales centre
Richcraft Homes has opened their model homes and sales centres across the city on weekends, no appointment necessary, and from Monday – Wednesdays you can call ahead to book your visit. I visited Sara at the Riverside South office last week, and she’d love to have you drop by. Please be patient — social distancing protocols are in effect and there may be a friendly wait. All Richcraft’s locations are listed in the builder Index at the back of the magazine.
EQ Homes’ chalk drawing contest is on!
Since school’s out for summer, EQ Homes is celebrating with its #eQChalkArt contest. Kids can enter by submitting their most creative chalk art masterpieces. Weekly winners will be drawn randomly and will receive a $100 gift card to the toy store of their choice.
Playhouse auction will benefit local charities
Lockwood Brothers Construction donated an “excavator” playhouse to auction off in support of the Kemptville Food Bank and House of Lazarus. Rideau Auctions took care of all the details of the online charity auction that ran online between May 26 and June. LBC is located south of the city in the Kemptville area. National Awards for Housing Excellence to be held June 12
Mark your calendars for Fri. June 12 at 3pm – the Canadian Home Builders’ Association is announcing the winners of the 2020 National Awards for Housing Excellence. Some of our local Ottawa builders and renovators are finalists, including Glenview Homes with West of Main Design; Brenmar Construction Corp,; Guildcrest Homes; Minto Communities Ottawa; OakWood Designers & Builders; Ardington and Associates Design; Sanchez Homes; Revelstoke Custom Homes & Renos; and Concord Homes from #Kingston. The awards will be conducted via YouTube. If you’d like to watch the awards live, it is open to the public.
