Steel Toes & Stilettos Gala

Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Shaw Centre Nov. 2 with a Steel Toes and Stilettos Gala fundraiser. The event raised $98,268.
Gala-presenting sponsors, Denis and Andrea Laurin from Laurin General Contractor, matched all cash donations made that evening up to $5,000.
Money raised will support Habitat Greater Ottawa’s operations for 2020, which include a new development project in central Ottawa. Ground breaking on its next build, an eight-unit stacked townhome at Wateridge Village, will take place in spring 2020. Two of the units are accessible. Habitat Greater Ottawa will be looking to partner with families with accessibility needs for these homes. Applications are now open. Visit habitatgo.ca for more information.
