Discerning condo buyers who desire spacious floorplans, luxurious finishings and a great location are down to their last chance to make a home in Hunter House in Silverado.

StreetSide Developments has completed construction on Hunter House, a fabulous development in southwest Calgary that offers buyers a choice of two stylish options – townhomes or attached bungalows – with double-car garages.

“We’re over 85 per cent sold and occupied, so we’re really down to closing out,” says area manager Darcey Robertson. “Everything is completed so we have immediate possessions available and buyers can just pack their bags and move in.”

Among the attached bungalows are six upper and one lower plan remaining, sized from 1,406 to 1,622 sq. ft. and starting from the $490,000s (plus GST). “The upper floor homes come with two huge terraces, which seem to be quite popular with people, while the lower model has a front patio and all one-level living with 10-ft. ceilings and a huge 11-ft. island,” Robertson says.

There are also eight, three-storey townhomes still available, sized from 1,498 to 1,509 sq. ft. with an even number of dual-master and three-bedroom plans featuring two and half bathrooms and flex space on the garage level, priced from the $370,000s (plus GST).

Robertson notes that buyers of the bungalows have been typically empty nesters and downsizers who desire main-level living, while many of the townhome purchasers are professional couples looking for spacious designs, high-end finishings and maintenance-free living.

“People really love the look of these homes,” Robertson says. “They present a Tudor style with Hardie board and wonderful masonry for great curb appeal.”

Inside, the attached bungalows feature engineered hardwood flooring, granite or quartz countertops in the kitchen, expansive islands or peninsulas with breakfast bars, full-height beech cabinetry, full-height backsplash and stainless steel appliances.

Inside the townhomes, the master bedrooms are generously sized with ensuites. The plan with the two secondary bedrooms has a full bathroom for the kids or guests, while the dual master bedrooms each come with ensuites and spacious walk-in closets.

“Hunter House is wonderfully landscaped with a beautiful centre courtyard, and it borders 194th Avenue with green space and Spruce Meadows to the west side of the community,” Robertson says. “It’s very serene and quiet here – it has that country, small-town feel, yet people have access to great amenities right in Silverado.”

Hunter House offers a great location within walking distance to pathways and neighbourhood conveniences including a grocery store, eateries, shops and services, plus it’s minutes to a variety of shops and services in nearby Shawnessey. As well, there is phenomenal access to major routes such as Stoney Trail and Macleod Trail.

StreetSide will also launch a new project with presales in late fall for the Villas of Silverado, a private enclave of 50 bungalow villa-style homes located right across from Hunter House.

“These are the final phase in Silverado and will feature open-concept bungalow plans with double attached garages, gourmet kitchens, spa-inspired ensuites and lower-level developments, some with walk-outs,” says senior marketing co-ordinator Kimberly Orr. “These homes range from 1,250 to 1,300 sq. ft. with the option to add basement development, adding another 1,100 sq. ft.

“These homes are maintenance-free and are perfect for those wanting to downsize, but not downgrade, or empty nesters who want the freedom of a lock-and-leave lifestyle,” Orr notes.

Prices will start from the low $500,000s and people can register for exciting updates and priority preview at liveinsilverado.com.
