Life happens at Genesis

Building homes and communities designed for life has ever been the goal at Genesis but getting recognized along the way by industry peers is a lovely perk.

Both of Genesis’ home building and land development divisions have won multiple industry awards in the past, but its 10 total nominations for this year’s BILD Awards Calgary Region is a new company record.

“We would like to congratulate all of the finalists that have been nominated for the 2019 BILD Calgary Region Awards,” says Iain Stewart – President & CEO Genesis Land Development Corp. “Genesis is humbled to celebrate the 10 nominations we received in a wide array of categories. This is an indication of growth, innovation, progress and above all else – a team that strives for excellence.”

It’s client-centred approach to building homes and communities has been the hallmark of its more than two decades of doing business in the Calgary region.

“Home building isn’t just our business, it’s our passion. This passion fuels our drive and dedication to build innovative, quality homes at an affordable price for buyers at all stages of life,” he adds.

They are up for a slew of sales and marketing awards and are incredibly proud of the recognition that Genesis is getting for the Bayside Estates and Sage Meadows communities, which are up for Best New Community awards.

They are also very pleased with Genesis’ nomination for Best Innovative Idea award with its Transitional Space design. It shows a home with a moving wall that can expand or retract with a push of a button to fit a family’s needs.

Genesis also has two of their home designs in the Airdrie communities of Bayside Estates and Bayview nominated this year. The Marconi (Bayview) is up for Best New Home $350,000-$419,999 category; while The Aspen (Bayside Estates) is vying for Best New Home $485,000-$549,999.

“The Marconi is one of the larger models that we offer in Bayview,” says Kelsey Orvis, marketing coordinator. “It has a double car garage that also has a space for a workshop.”

“The Aspen is one of our favorite bungalows to date. It is built as a show home in Bayside Estates, and with the upgraded exposed beam 19-foot vaulted ceilings – it’s a home you must experience in person (though we do have virtual tours available).”

Genesis builds approximately 150-200 homes a year, and they are currently in Airdrie (Bayside, Bayview and Newport communities) and in Calgary (Sage Meadows, Saddlestone and Laurels). These are mostly communities developed by the Genesis Land Development, although Genesis will soon be building in Homestead - Partners Development Group community – in Calgary’s northeast and Alpine Park – Dream Development community – in Calgary’s southwest.
