Lions Gate Village: Gateway to North Vancouver

I am often asked to comment on up-and-coming neighbourhoods or projects that are primed for growth and value. Investing in new master-planned communities is often a terrific option for getting a high-quality home at a great price as the neighbourhood comes to life. Established neighbourhoods can be difficult to get into with limited available homes to purchase with top-of-the-market prices. Although buying into a master-planned community comes with some risk – will it take shape as promised, how long will you need to endure construction, etc.? – it can offer a great opportunity to get in early at a lower price, providing you with more home than you would otherwise get with a real potential for long-term gains.

One new master-planned community is Lions Gate Village in the district of North Vancouver. Pegged as the gateway to the district, Lions Gate Village is transforming into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly community hub especially geared towards young families.

Near the Lions Gate Bridge, Capilano River and Marine Drive, this community is highly accessible and will be one of the transportation hubs of the district. The district is investing in a new recreation centre which will feature a full-sized gymnasium with basketball, volleyball, badminton and pickleball. It will also provide a new district-operated express library, community spaces including meeting rooms and “living rooms” and it will open directly onto a new public plaza with play spaces and outdoor seating, the perfect place for city events and festivals.

Lions Gate Village will include convenient retail and commercial spaces including an expected boutique grocery store along with restaurants, daycare facility and of course, easy access to parks, the Capilano River, Park Royal and Ambleside.

There are several opportunities to own a home at the new Lions Gate Village, including Ebb & Flow by Woodbridge Homes and Citimark. Ebb & Flow offers garden-level one-bedroom homes, and two- and three-bedroom townhomes complete with contemporary interiors and expansive private roof decks.

Ebb & Flow represents a great opportunity to get into this burgeoning new master-planned community ripe for growth.
