Building on its vision of making connections, Brookfield Residential is connecting the two sides of Livingston together with the launch in April of Livingston Northwest.

Livingston, a 1,284-acre master-planned community located north of Stoney Trail, straddles both sides of Centre Street N., and will eventually be home to 30,000 people. Brookfield Residential started developing the first phases on the east side of Centre Street, but focus shifts to the west this spring, bringing the community together with the grand opening on April 17 of Livingston Northwest.

“With Livingston we have developed a unique culture based on togetherness,” says Tannis Anstey, marketing manager, Calgary communities. “We designed Livingston so even the first residents felt connected and part of the community tapestry. People love the feeling of togetherness and we have multi-generations moving into Livingston, with parents and grandparents wanting to be in the same community.”

In launching Livingston Northwest, Brookfield Residential will provide even more lifestyle opportunities with the addition of estate homes by Morrison Homes.

“It’s a product line found in few northwest communities so we’re really excited about adding it,” Anstey says. “Residents will find Livingston Northwest will have a more enclave, tranquil feel, yet they’re still able to connect to all the amenities in Livingston.”

Livingston Northwest features a variety of housing choices including condos, townhomes and rear-drive homes by Daytona Homes; single-family laned homes by Brookfield Residential; and single-family front-drive homes by Excel Homes, Homes by Avi and Trico Homes.

Other housing types and builders in Livingston include: Apartment-style condos by Avi Urban; townhomes and duplexes by Brookfield Residential; street towns by Homes by Avi; single-family laned homes by Brookfield Residential and Morrison; and single-family front-drive homes by Cedarglen Homes, Jayman BUILT and Morrison. All of the builders have showhomes/sales centres open. Pricing starts from the upper $100,000s for condos to the mid-$400,000s and above for front-drive homes. A unique feature to all homes in Livingston is sprinkler systems – the first community in Calgary to provide this level of safety.

At the heart of Livingston and a key feature in helping residents get and stay connected will be a signature Homeowners’ Association (HOA) facility. The approximate 35,000-sq.-ft. facility will have something for everyone including a commercial kitchen, banquet and program space, a gymnasium and more. Outdoor plans include both pleasure skating and hockey rink, splash park, tennis courts, fire pit, sliding hill and amphitheatre. A ground-breaking ceremony is schedule for this summer.

Other amenities in Livingston include extensive pathways and bike lanes connecting residents to the future urban district and town centre, parks including unique hilltop parks and a future dog park, 200 acres of open space and 20 acres of environmental reserve.

Livingston will eventually be more than a million sq. ft. of commercial and retail space throughout the town centre and urban corridor. And, residents are minutes from a variety of shops, services, groceries, restaurants and more in neighbouring communities, and have easy access to Centre Street N., Stoney Trail and Deerfoot Trail and the future north terminus of the LRT line.

For more information, visit the showhomes/sales centres, open Monday to Thursday, 2-8 p.m., and weekends and holidays, noon-5 p.m., or visit experiencelivingston.com.
