Mattamy Homes has done it again! For the second consecutive year, Mattamy was honoured with the prestigious Home Builder of the Year award at the 35th annual BILD Awards.

The Home Builder of the Year award recognizes "the builder who sets the standard for the rest of the industry by their leadership in improving the overall image of building and development in the GTA." Winning this award is no easy feat; a key component to the judging process is a customer satisfaction survey completed by 75 recent home occupants. And having won in 2001, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2014, this year marked the sixth time Mattamy has taken home the prestigious award.

Mattamy's homes are Energy Star for New Homes Qualified and reflect the build quality, airtightness and insulation values required to reach this goal. This is approximately 20 per cent more efficient than homes built to the Ontario Building Code. But, Mattamy does more than build homes, they build communities. The builder is also recognized for being actively involved in communities, they also contribute millions to charities and creating its own local initiatives.

According to BILD president and CEO, Brian Tuckey, "The continued satisfaction of Mattamy's home purchasers is a true testament to the quality of the communities they create across the GTA... Thank you for your commitment to the industry and the association. While the award you hold in your hand says Home Builder of the Year, you are much more than that. You are a city builder, and for that we thank you."

Congratulations Mattamy Homes on your big win! And congratulations to the other nominees, Empire Communities, Great Gulf Homes and Tribute Communities.
