Discover the Nichols single-family home in Creekside

Cardel’s intimate Creekside community in Richmond has unveiled a striking new model home just in time for the warmer weather that has seemed so long in coming to Ottawa this year.

At just under 2,500 sq. ft., the Nichols showcases the kind of innovative design, thoughtful space planning, quality construction and undeniable curb appeal that make Cardel a home builder of choice for discerning homebuyers.

Designed for families and lovers of style

With four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, the Nichols will appeal to families looking for a single-family home in a family-friendly community. There’s even an opportunity to add a ground floor Nanny Suite with three-piece bathroom among available options.

Modern curb appeal abounds

There are three different elevations of the Nichols available – the Traditional, the Canadiana and the Modern Urban – and the eye-catching model home is now open for viewing at the corner of Shea Road and Kirkham Crescent in Richmond.

“It’s always exciting to open a new model home, but there is something really special about this home in this great small-town community,” says Lynne Freitag of Cardel Homes. “I think our designers and construction team have taken things to a different level. They just keep raising the bar.”

Walk into a wow-worthy main floor

Before entering the Nichols model, visitors often stop to comment on the vista-expanding corner windows on the main and upper floors. Immediately inside the front door, a 10-ft. by 13-ft. flex room would make an ideal home office, den or sitting room.

Steps further into the house, visitors pass a powder room before the rear of the home unveils its open design that blends a kitchen with walk-in pantry, dining nook with extra wide patio doors and a great-room with vaulted ceiling, wall-to-wall windows and fireplace. This is a main-floor that deserves to be the main attraction.

Upstairs are four bedrooms including a master with walk-in closet and a spacious ensuite bathroom featuring a bathtub, walk-in shower and private toilet room. Separating the master from the remaining bedrooms is a conveniently located laundry room. A second bathroom is located at the top of the stairs.

Many options to explore, higher standards to appreciate

Like every Cardel home, there are plenty of ways to customize the Nichols including extending the master bedroom and dining nook, changing the location of the fireplace in the great room and more. An option to finish the basement adds more than 600 sq. ft. of living space and an additional bathroom.

Big style in a small-town setting

Creekside by Cardel is located in Richmond, a charming rural village of under 5,000 people located less than 10 minutes south of Kanata. Famous for its Country Fair held every September, Richmond is a popular choice for families looking for a laid-back community with a choice of schools, amenities and opportunities to enjoy sports and the great outdoors.

Only 51 single-family homes will be built in Creekside. Many lots back onto abundant greenspace, and a community park is planned. Residents will be able to walk to grocery shopping, banking and other handy conveniences in a small shopping centre right next door.
