Unveiling new renderings of the interior and exterior amenity spaces at SCOUT, Graywood Developments has made the residence’s common spaces into community-building centres that allow for residents to interact and socialize while also acting as a natural extension of their living spaces. The lifestyle-focused amenities of SCOUT, located in the West St. Clair West neighbourhood at St. Clair West and Old Weston Road, were largely influenced by the energy and strong community-oriented streetscapes.

With a growing number of urban young families in the area, SCOUT’s amenities are both practical and kid-friendly. Residents will have access to a wide selection of amenities, concentrated on the top 12th floor and the ground floor of the building. Building on the well-received design of Graywood’s predecessor building, SCOOP, interior design firm TACT Design brought a similar aesthetic to SCOUT’s larger amenities and spaces. Warm and modern finishes along with glossy and natural elements bring a unique and contemporary warehouse-feel to the building.

Stepping into the building, residents will enter the lobby greeted by a concierge. The lobby is not only designed as a space to pass through, but one where residents can sit, gather, and meet their neighbours. The lobby then flows seamlessly into an expansive common area that provides residents the flexibility to socialize or work alone, mirroring a café or a co-working space. Further into the ground floor is a state-of-the-art gym and yoga room, as well as dining and lounge spaces. The ground floor amenities flow effortlessly together, creating an animated path through the building.

On the 12th floor is a secluded oasis that provides residents a tranquil getaway from their busy urban lifestyles. A lounge with a landscaped terrace, connected by large glass windows all around, offers stunning views of the neighbourhood and the downtown Toronto skyline.

SCOUT is a 12-storey midrise by the same team behind SCOOP, which includes SMV Architects and TACT Design. Graywood’s involvement in this neigbourhood dates back to 2016 when it launched SCOOP, a six-storey condo building – the first-ever condo in that stretch of St. Clair West.

Since then, there has been a plethora of new restaurants, breweries, art galleries, cafés and the food emporium, Nations Fresh Foods, that have injected the area with a new vibrancy and culture. Metrolinx has also unveiled plans to build a new GO Station and Smart Track station right across the building. With an extremely high Walk Score and close proximity to transit, SCOUT residents will be able to explore this neighbourhood and beyond with ease. The West St. Clair West neighbourhood is only poised for more exciting growth, and with SCOUT at the centre of it all, the building will become a landmark in this area.
