Since its founding in 2010, award-winning homebuilder StateView Homes has been thriving. The company offers meticulously designed homes and superior customer service, along with an ability to create distinctive niche communities that cater to each homeowner’s individuality, design preferences and lifestyle aspirations.

Bringing together their more than 35 years of homebuilding experience, brothers Carlo and Dino Taurasi founded StateView 12 years ago. “We just felt that between the two of us, we could build homes just as well as if not better than the builders we were working for,” says Dino Taurasi, president of StateView Homes.

Latest in design and decor trends

StateView’s unique approach to home design puts themselves in their homeowner’s shoes. “When we are designing our homes, we take the approach that we would be designing these homes for ourselves and our families,” says CEO and President Carlo Taurasi. “We also have our own in-house architects, so when our homeowners meet with their decor consultants, if they want structural changes, we have a team on hand who can facilitate that. Oftentimes, it’s like our homeowners are getting a completely custom home.”

In keeping with today’s enlightened and savvy homebuyers, in addition to providing the latest in design and decor trends, StateView offers its Comfort+ Package, designed to improve homeowners’ lives by helping with maintenance, security and home efficiency.

The Smart Home Automation feature, for example, has a central Automation Hub with touchscreen at the entrance to the home, a smart door lock on the inside garage door leading to the home, a smart lighting control, one smart water leak sensor, one pre-construction homeowner design consultation, one customer service training session and a personal appointment with a qualified technical contractor to explain and coordinate any additional technology requested.

In addition, StateView’s Harmony Package includes features and finishes that save energy, conserve water, help lower monthly bills and ensure their homes are built from sustainable, ethically sourced materials that promote an eco-friendly lifestyle. Homeowners enjoy the enhanced comfort and peace of mind from a reduced environmental footprint.

The company’s success isn’t only based on the physical homes it produces, but upon core values that permeate every aspect of the company.

Heritage-inspired estate-style homes

“Our team strives to perform with integrity, commitment, accountability, responsibility and experience,” says Carlo Taurasi. “These are the foundations that make up our iCare Service Program, and we ensure these principles are carried throughout the organization, from us in upper management through to our trades and site workers.”

As its notoriety grows, StateView Homes has begun to expand outside the GTA. Last year, their hugely successful BEA Towns in Barrie sold all 218 townhomes in just under two months. This was followed up by the sell-out of MiNU Towns, StateView’s third project in Markham since 2019.

This year, StateView is coming to the rolling hills, meandering rivers and lush forests of Kleinburg with The Tesoro Collection, a limited release of just 12 heritage-inspired estate-style homes. The name “Tesoro” is appropriate for this community, as the word means “treasure” in Spanish and Italian, and with spacious 50-ft. homes on a private cul-de-sac surrounded by greenspace and wooded grounds, this collection is set to be the true gem of Kleinburg.

Located just a short three-minute walk from the historic and vibrant downtown Kleinburg Village, Tesoro upholds the prestige associated with the village’s unique mix of small-town charm and classy sophistication. Gracious exteriors that blend seamlessly with their surroundings frame remarkably well-crafted interiors with the contemporary elements that enable today’s families to thrive. Offering more than 4,000 sq. ft. of inspired living space, these estate homes will offer grand four- and five-bedroom designs starting from $3 million.

StateView is also excited to be coming to Newmarket. The Elia Collection, located at Gorham St. and Muriel St., is where chic style meets smart design with contemporary townhomes all beautifully detailed with the latest in modern finishes, starting from the low $1 millions. Elia will offer a fresh, wholesome lifestyle that is the best of both worlds – surrounded by parks and greenspace yet close to great schools, exceptional shopping and convenient GO train trips to Union Station in 45 minutes.

Main & Co.

Later this year, StateView will return to Stouffville, following up on its successful Main & Co. community. With 300-plus townhomes and eight highrise condo towers proposed for the development, this new master-planned community, located steps from the redeveloped Old Elm GO Station, will offer families extensive greenspace, parklands, playing fields, a splash pad and more for their enjoyment.

StateView’s reach across the GTA will also continue east to Brooklin, with Baldwin Heights, the first phase of a multi-phase project of nearly 500 homes, featuring a mix of townhomes and detached homes.

StateView has been recognized both locally and internationally for the communities they build. In 2021, BILD awarded StateView with the coveted Project of the Year, Lowrise. The company was also honoured at The Nationals, which was put on by the U.S. National Association of Home Builders, competing against builders from across North America.

BEA Towns

“The BILD Award was very rewarding because we know just how competitive the GTA market is, probably the most competitive in North America,” says Dino Taurasi. “But while these awards are great, at the end of the day, though, what really matters to us is that our homeowners are happy with the home we provide.”

StateView’s recognition continues in 2022, having been nominated at the 2022 BILD Awards for Best Townhouse Design and Best Innovative Design for their Livingston model at BEA Towns in Barrie, Best Innovative Design for the Watermark at On the Mark in Markham and the prestigious Project of the Year, Lowrise and People’s Choice Award for BEA Towns.
