1. The Tidal Bore

The Tidal Bore, NB

When the Petitcodiac River tidal bore comes in to Moncton, the initial wave ranges from one inch to more than two feet, and the larger the wave, the louder it roars.

2. Magnetic Hill/Magic Mountain/The Zoo/Wharf Village

Magnetic Hill, NB

In the northwest part of Moncton, Magic Mountain’s waterpark, the Magnetic Hill Zoo, Wharf Village and Magnetic Hill offer some of Moncton’s most popular tourist destinations for visitors of all ages.

3. Pointe-du-Chene Wharf

Pointe-du-Chene Wharf, NB

Charming Pointe-du-Chene wharf is a great spot to fish, watch boats, jump in the water, have a drink and watch the sunset.

4. Parlee Beach/Aboiteau Beach

Along the Northumberland Strait coast are some of the warmest saltwater beaches in Canada; ideal destinations for clean family fun. Parlee Beach and Aboiteau Beach are two local favourites.

5. The Rocks/Fundy Park/Cape Enrage

The stunning Fundy coast will take your breath away. Walk on the ocean floor at The Rocks, enjoy the amazing view and search for fossils at Cape Enrage, or stop at Fundy Park to explore the beaches and hiking trails.

6. Kouchibouguac National Park

Kouchibouguac National Park, NB

A nature preserve located along the east coast, Kouchibouguac is home to Kelly Beach, barrier islands, sand dunes and marshes that can be explored by boardwalk.

7. La Dune de Bouctouche

La Dune de Bouctouche, NB

The Irving Eco-Centre, located along a long strip of saltwater beach, features interpreters who can teach visitors about local eco-tourism.

8. Cape Jourimain/Confederation Bridge

Cape Jourimain/Confederation Bridge, NB

Enjoy stunning views of the Confederation Bridge from the Cape Jourimain Visitor Information Centre. There is a restaurant on site as well as nature trails and beach access.

9. Fort Beausejour

Fort Beausejour, NB

Built in 1751, this National Historic Site of Canada is an attractive park for exploration. It was the site of battle during the war between Britain and France and has fascinating artifacts on display.

10. Sackville Waterfowl Park

Sackville Waterfowl Park, New Brunswick

Featuring acres of wetlands, boardwalks and trails and dozens of species of birds and plants, this scenic nature park is both beautiful and interesting. Guided tours are also available.
