Toronto an ideal residential destination

Toronto is one of the most celebrated cities in the world, so understandably, it is a prime real estate destination for immigrants and people looking to relocate within Canada. Nearly three million residents call Toronto home, and that number is expected to grow to 3.95 million by 2046. It may seem a long way off, but time is passing quickly these days.

Safe haven

It’s easy to understand why Toronto is so desirable. Every year, the city receives high world rankings for everything from quality of life to education, economy and jobs. In addition, our city was ranked second out of 60 municipalities considered in the 2021 Safe Cities Index. What a terrific accolade! Relative to other places in the world, where turbulence dominates the lifestyle, Toronto is seen as a safe haven. When people feel physically safe, they tend to feel mentally alive and happier.

Last year, Resonance Consultancy named Toronto 13th of 100 global cities in their World’s Best Cities Report, which examined metropolitan area cities with populations of more than one million. They were judged on the following categories: Place, programming, prosperity, product, people and promotion.

And speaking of people, those who move here find an extensive selection of housing types to choose from, including entry-level condos, townhomes, semi-detached and detached homes, luxury homes and condos, and even rental accommodations. Smaller towns tend to offer more lowrise options. Variety sets Toronto apart in Canada.

As for making a living, newcomers find jobs here. The tech industry is growing by leaps and bounds, with jobs for everyone from students just out of school to older adults who are not yet ready to retire and want to try something new or expand existing businesses. The entertainment industry is also huge here; Toronto is second only to Hollywood for filming destinations.

Students from around the globe flock to Toronto for our world-class post-secondary educational facilities. With University of Toronto, Ryerson University, York University and other great schools, Toronto is a veritable mecca for education. We also have world-class hospitals and health care available, which is an outstanding feature for people of all ages. Then consider Toronto’s transportation system, which is getting better and more expansive all the time.

Outstanding possibilities

And let’s talk excitement. With new restaurants opening, in addition to the global cuisines already available to satisfy any taste, foodies love living here. Shows and concerts are starting again as well, giving Toronto a real New York vibe. The city buzzes with life and activity. Museums, art galleries, sports venues, lakeside activities… the possibilities are outstanding.

Oh, and of course, there’s the amazing value in Toronto real estate, which has consistently produced double-digit appreciation, even during the pandemic. Both end-users and investors know if they purchase in Toronto, they will enjoy a substantial return-on-investment when they eventually sell.

Whether you’re looking to find a spectacular place to live or to invest your money, Toronto is an exceptional choice that continues to get even better all the time.
