Trico Homes is once again flexing its considerable skill in creating stylishly distinctive homes as it prepares for the opening of its fourth STARS Lottery grand prize home. Located in the gorgeous southeast community of Legacy, Trico’s $1.1 million Cambridge showhome will headline one of the city’s most eagerly awaited charity events.

“Our team couldn’t be more proud to design and build the Calgary Lottery Home for the fourth straight year,” says Wanda Palmer, Vice President, Marketing. “At Trico, we bring our very best to every community we live and work in, and we’re honoured to have this opportunity to help support STARS Air Ambulance and the critical life-saving work they do for Albertans each and every day.”

Each STARS lottery ticket sold helps keep the distinctive red helicopters and crews in the air for the next patient that needs the crucial and rapid assistance only they can bring.

“We are very excited to build the Cambridge for STARS,” says Glenda Schwartz, Marketing Manager at Trico Homes. “It is a new model for Trico that we just released this year and it has been very well received,” she tells Calgary New Home + Condo Guide.

This year’s grand prize home stands at over 2,669 square-feet and is going up in the acclaimed The Woods in Legacy semi-estate area. It features a developed basement and a triple car garage that presents a stately presence in this sought after community.

This semi-estate home offers something special for every member of the family. The main floor open-to-below area above the great room illuminates a grand, sun-filled space with its huge two-storey windows and tile to ceiling fireplace.

The adjoining gourmet kitchen is a chef’s dream with a massive island, top of the line appliances and butler’s pantry, which conveniently connects to the oversized mudroom and offers ample storage space along with a convenient tiled pet shower.

The main floor flex room provides a spacious yet private space for a home office complete with stylish barn doors. With a beautiful glass railing leading to the second floor, the master bedroom is a relaxing oasis with its spa inspired five-piece ensuite and private balcony, separated from the other bedrooms and full bathroom by a beautiful central bonus room. The finished basement boasts a large family rec room, wet bar and home gym.

Among the other highlights of the home are the vaulted great room ceiling that adds to its of grandeur; the open staircase with glass railing gives a nod to its contemporary taste; and the large rear deck backing into The Woods’ densely treed backyard is a welcoming and private spot to entertain.

Palmer says Trico has proudly supported STARS because they realize its importance to the community.

“At Trico, we believe strong communities are the foundation on which great homes are built and we are very proud to build this beautiful home for STARS. Our entire team including our trades and suppliers are thrilled to partner together and provide our support to this amazing cause and group of people.”

The pandemic may impact the ability to see this home in person, as the showhome will not be open to the public, but interested parties will be able to view it virtually on the STARS website. Check out the STARS lottery website – www.starslotteryalberta.ca – for updates and to buy tickets.

Tickets will be available to purchase online beginning January 14th, 2021. The final draw for all prizes including the homes will take place on April 1, 2021.
