Stately serenity is the theme in Trico Homes’ two new show homes at the Woods in Legacy, an enchanting enclave where homes are enclosed by trees on three sides, giving a unique feeling of being closer to nature.

Trico Homes opened the two new show homes in late November 2019, and the 2,539-sq.-ft. Rosewood and the 2,703-sq.-ft. Stanley were designed to capture the unique qualities of the Woods in Legacy in southeast Calgary.

“Both models are offered in other select communities, however the unique home sites at the Woods allows for the rare inclusion of a triple car garage,” says Trico Homes’ area manager Kim Nguyen.

“The Rosewood is getting rave reviews; people love that it presents such a different layout,” she says. “This home is especially distinctive, being one of Trico’s only models with a kitchen in the middle of the home and opening up directly to the great room and nook. It really optimizes the space and creates an easy flow.”

The end result is a warm, inviting area highlighted by a beautiful wall-centered fireplace, while the dining nook offers plenty of room for large gatherings. At the heart of it all is the kitchen with luxurious finishes such as quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, a walk-through butler’s pantry and large island great for casual dining or entertaining.

“Having a flex room at the front of the house with an adjacent half bathroom is also helpful for those who work from home, as they can bring clients in without having to go through the rest of the house,” she says. “The finishes you see – luxury vinyl plank flooring, quartz countertops throughout, nine-ft. ceilings – are already included in the standard specifications.”

Upstairs, buyers are wowed by the master suite, with its privacy away from the other bedrooms, and the swanky ensuite with an oversized walk-in shower, separate tub, dual sinks and huge walk-in closet with a convenient pocket door that connects to the laundry room. There is plenty of space to hang out in the large central bonus room, next to a full bathroom and two secondary bedrooms each with a walk-in closet.

The lower level is developed in this showhome and features a massive rec room space, bar, a fourth bedroom and additional full bathroom.

“The Rosewood’s triple car garage has a special epoxy finished floor – making it longer lasting with a beautiful shine – and there is rough-in plumbing for a sink on the left wall on the tandem side,” Nguyen adds. “This gives buyers the option to convert into a future workshop.”

Trico has nine front-drive models with double- or triple-car garages to choose from, on 42- to 44-ft. lots available in The Woods in Legacy with prices starting from the $600,000s. Most plans offer flexible options to allow for four bedrooms upstairs, main-floor bedrooms and side entrances.

“The Woods in Legacy also offers a rare chance of being able to live in an established aspen forest,” Nguyen says. “Every homeowner will have a wooded backyard that comes with a minimum of 33 ft. of trees behind each home.”

For more information, visit the showhomes at 25 and 29 Legacy Woods Circle S.E., open Monday to Thursday, 2-8 p.m., and weekends and holidays, noon-5 p.m. The Woods in Legacy will be hosting its grand opening celebration on Feb. 8 from noon-4 p.m., with food trucks, winter carnival activities and show home tours.
