Vancouver area: The Jervis

There’s undeniably something special about the West End. The vibe here is unique, an engaging blend of joie de vivre, creativity and personality. No wonder so many people who have to move away just can’t wait to come back.

So it’s no surprise that The Jervis, coming soon to the corner of Jervis and Davie, has been greeted with an overwhelming enthusiasm. And now here’s the most exciting part. Thanks to a first-of-its-kind partnership between the building expertise of Intracorp and the fashion-forward decorating savvy of Inform Interiors, every aspect of this 19-storey residence – from floorplans and balconies to hinges and light fixtures – is completely design driven.

“Designing from the inside out has a huge impact on the way you live,” says Barrett Sprowson, Intracorp’s director of sales. “For example, by placing the support grid on the outside, it not only creates a very cool looking building but it allows column-free interiors that are incredibly flexible when you’re furnishing your home.”

Entering the display suite, it takes only a second to understand what Barrett means, and I find I can’t suppress a gasp of astonishment. It’s like stepping into a resort villa – elegant yet inviting, definitely a home that’s ready to start making new memories with family and friends.

The grand foyer opens onto a spacious living room framed on two sides with windows. Translation: amazing views, tons of natural light. But it’s the balcony beyond that truly takes my breath away. It’s huge – really huge. In fact, a rough guess says it’s at least 200 sq. ft. – roughly the same size as the living room – and fully covered for year round entertaining and enjoyment.

“And because all two-bedroom homes are corner suites, you get two exposures,” Barrett adds. “Buyers tell us all the time that they’ve been waiting for the right home in the West End and The Jervis is it.”
