As a follow-up to its immensely popular Williamstown community and Vesta Collection in Cooper’s Crossing, VESTA Properties is adding another chapter to its success story in Airdrie with the launch of Southpoint.

“Southpoint will be established as a master-planned community that enhances a high quality of life; built to include charming amenities, refined finishings and will offer 12 acres of greenspace, almost double the usual amount, making this one of Airdrie’s greenest communities to date,” says Marketing Manager Christine Turner. “Designed and inspired by classic architecture, this community will feature a unique Country Farmhouse-style streetscape, contemporary interiors and thoughtfully-designed floorplans.

“Homebuyers will have the option of selecting from a wide range of home designs including single-family homes, paired homes, rowhomes, townhomes and condos, at varied price points that will fit into their budget as well as lifestyle,” she adds.

Located south of 40th Avenue and west of QE-II (Hwy. 2), Southpoint is the fifth community designed and built in Airdrie by VESTA Properties, an integrated builder with more than 25 years of experience building homes in Alberta and BC. This 70-acre, master-planned community will be built in six phases.

“We’re really excited to be launching the first phase of Southpoint, which will feature 52 single-family homes and 35 rowhomes,” Turner says.

To complement the Country Farmhouse-style theme, exteriors will present eye-catching features such as broad roof profiles with overhangs, front-facing gables and dormers, front porches, gable end treatments and paneled, and louvered or Craftsman-style shutters.

One of Southpoint’s greatest features is its abundance of greenspace that will include two neighbourhood parks providing residents with great amenity space and recreational activities that include playgrounds, a tennis and basketball court as well as a barbecue pit. Residents will also have immediate access to the walking trails that connect to Airdrie’s extensive trail system.

Homebuyers will appreciate having an elementary school within walking distance, which is expected to open in 2019, as well as easy access to major shopping venues including Walmart, Home Depot, the new Cooper’s Crossing Town Promenade Shopping Centre, and CrossIron Mills mall only minutes away. Residents are also within walking distance of Airdrie’s new South Transit Terminal, which serves as
the primary transfer location for all local routes, and the Intercity Express Service.

Construction has begun for a 40th Avenue overpass, which will cross over the train tracks, and connect to Main Street heading north; plans are underway for a future connection to QE-II (Hwy. 2) heading south, providing commuters with quick and easy access to the airport and north Calgary – about 15 minutes away.
