Prices vary greatly across Canada, from Vancouver to Calgary to Toronto to Montreal and beyond. Do you think you have what it takes to score 100 per cent on our Canadian housing quiz? Here’s a little refresher before you test your real estate knowledge.
According to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), national home sales in April 2016 rose to their highest level ever. Of course, the average price of a condo or home varies from market to market, but do you know by how much?
The Royal LePage House Price Survey released on April 7, 2016 revealed the average prices across the country from the first quarter of 2016. The average housing prices can be found below (and used as a bit of a cheat sheet).
Vancouver
In April 2016, the average price of a home in Vancouver was $1,091,767, according to the CREA. Because the prices change between Vancouver and Greater Vancouver, both market prices are included below from Royal LePage's report.
