2019 year in review – Find your next new home

What does your dream home look like? Is it a single-family detached home on a large lot in the suburbs, surrounded by trees and nature trails? Or do you desire a luxury condo close to downtown for a convenient lock-and-leave lifestyle?

From single-family homes with room to grow and one-level bungalows for downsizers, to condo apartments for singles, couples and first-time buyers, the new-home market in Ottawa has it all. But with so much out there, it may be difficult to know where to look first.

Searching the Internet is one way, but the information is so segregated, it’s hard to line up all the properties side-by-side to make comparisons. It can be overwhelming and sometimes make you feel as if you need to be an Excel spreadsheet expert in order to keep track of all the new developments, never mind which is the one that checks off all your must-have boxes.

In this, our last issue of 2019, we’ve compiled short descriptions from some of our 2019 cover stories to help you on your way to finding the home you’ve been dreaming of.

Each development listed here offers something different and will appeal to a variety of tastes, lifestyles and budgets. Contact information at the end of each description makes it easy find out more, and perhaps visit a presentation centre.

So take a moment to ‘read all about it’ in the comfort and warmth of your current home. Wishing you a joyous holiday season, and the best of luck in finding your next new home.
