Homebuyers who are seeking a peaceful, small town atmosphere where they can raise their family, have affordable housing choices and a wide range of amenities at their doorstep are embracing Dansereau Meadows in Beaumont.

Created by United Communities, Dansereau Meadows is a master-planned community located in the northwest corner of Beaumont that offers buyers a chance to escape the hectic pace of the big city yet south Edmonton is just a quick 10-minute commute away. Downtown Edmonton is a 35-minute drive and it’s 15 minutes to the airport.

“Beaumont is one of the fastest growing communities in Canada and it offers that small town feel with all the perks of big city living as everything is nearby,” says United’s Marketing Manager Simona Diep. “It’s a thriving, bilingual town that has an charming French Village theme and a number of amenities including dining, childcare, entertainment, shopping and a new community centre opening in January 2017.”

Other recreational amenities in the town include an Aquafit Centre featuring pool programs and an indoor fitness centre and the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre with two skating rinks and a curling rink, as well as tennis courts, pickle ball courts, a skateboard park, outdoor ice skating rinks, a spray park, ball diamonds, neighbourhood parks, a golf course and the Four Seasons Park with its fishing pond. There are also two nearby golf courses – Eagle Rock and Coloniale Golf and Country Club.

“Dansereau Meadows itself is a quiet, safe, family-oriented community that has a Grade 1 to 8 school with a playground that is easy to walk to, there are two storm water ponds, trails and greenspace so it’s designed for active living,” Diep adds.

“Everything is so close in Beaumont… you can walk to amenities and shops and services along 50th Street from Dansereau Meadows or they’re just a couple of minutes’ drive away,” she says. “Driving further along 50th Street, you’re 10 minutes away from a new Walmart in south Edmonton, where more shops and services are being added. Also you have quick access to South Edmonton Common, a major shopping and dining area.”

United has designed Dansereau Meadows to blend in with the French ambience of Beaumont presenting a French Town and Country architecture style that is highlighted by elements such as shutters on the front windows, louvers, gable ends and brick or stone details.

Dansereau Meadows is currently selling in Stage 5 and 6 offering a great selection of housing choices from its award-winning builder group at incredibly affordable price points.

In Stage 5, Pacesetter Homes is building two-storey townhomes with rear detached garages starting in the $310,000s. There are two models – the 1,349-sq.-ft. Alydar and the 1,349-sq.-ft. Affirmed – which offer three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

Landmark Homes is also building duplexes in this stage. “Their feature model is the Louise, a 1,456-sq.-ft. two-storey, with three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a double attached front garage,” Diep says.

Both Landmark and Pacesetter have two showhomes each open for viewing.

“Also in Stage 5, are single-family lots ranging from 34- to 36-ft. building pockets,” she adds. “These lots are open to the public, so you can purchase them and bring in your own builder, or they can be purchased by our single-family home builders – Caliber Master Builder and Pacesetter Homes. These lots back onto a storm water pond.”

In Stage 6, Caliber and Pacesetter are building single-family homes with front attached garages. Lots range from 28- to 34-ft. building pockets with “many backing onto the storm water pond, some are pie-shaped, and they’re in a quiet cul-de-sac; it’s a beautiful area.”

Builders can craft bungalow, bi-level or two-storey designs and pricing starts from the $370,000s including the home, lot and GST. Both builders have one showhome each open nearby in Stage 4B, however, new showhomes are expected to open in Stage 6 in fall 2017.

“We’ve been getting a great response to Dansereau Meadows because of the small town feel and the affordability compared to south Edmonton just 10 minutes away,” Diep says. “You’re saving around $70,000 for a single-family home so for someone who is looking to get into homeownership, looking for more space for their family, live in a neighbouring community and want to upgrade, or who want to downsize and save money, this is a really great opportunity.
