Daytona Homes brings comfortable living to Calgary’s new communities

Calgary’s new home market remains red hot in 2024, and Daytona Homes is intensifying efforts to expand here with a host of new showhomes and spec homes in more communities in the region.
With the homebuyers’ comfort still top of mind, Daytona Homes is offering more single-family options in Cochrane, Springbank and southeast Calgary, including several exceptionally crafted quick-possession homes, demand for which has surged with the rising number of newcomers flocking to the city.
“Having homes with varying possession dates can be a huge relief for our customers when they come into our showhomes,” says Tyler Warner, Sales & Marketing Manager for Daytona Homes Calgary.
“We know that selling your current home can be very stressful and anxiety inducing, so being able to choose a home that aligns with your desired timing can be a huge benefit in the buying process.”
Daytona meets rising demand
Calgary remains attractive to new homebuyers from all over Canada and beyond. In fact, Cowtown had the highest rate among major cities in Canada in terms of population growth, with a year-over-year growth of 6 percent.
Daytona is aware of the surging demand for new housing and is answering the call with their line of affordable and stylishly functional laned and front-attached garage homes, including several spec and quick-possession homes. The latter is especially handy for those on a tight timeline.
“We typically have between 5-10 (spec homes) on the go in each community in various stages of construction,” Warner says. “Right now, we are building double front attached garage homes in Rangeview and Walden (both in southeast Calgary), Harmony in Springbank (just west of the city), and Heartland in Cochrane. We also have laned homes in Harmony and Heartland.”
When asked what sort of timeline buyers can expect, Warner says: “We have homes that will be ready mid-August that are currently unspoken for, so very soon!”
Driving excitement even more is their upcoming showhome in the new Cochrane community of Southbow Landing.
“We are really excited about our new project we will be launching in the community of Southbow Landing in Cochrane. We will be building single family homes, but we will also be introducing our double front attached garage duplex homes,” he says.
“One of our models we will be bringing to this project is the Canyon. It is over 2,000 square-feet with a wide-open main floor with a tech space, and three bedrooms and a central bonus room upstairs.”
Experience matters
Getting a home built from scratch is almost always the ideal way of owning a home but buying a spec home – meaning one where construction has started based on the specifications pre-selected by the builder – is a terrific option for those on a tight timeline. And this is where experience matters.
Daytona’s 30+ years of experience means their spec homes have been designed with homebuyers lives top-of-mind, Warner says. “As buyer, you’re not sacrificing on buying a spec/or quick possession home - you’re getting incredible value and can trust that the home has been designed with your family’s comfort in mind.”
A quick-possession or spec home is industry speak for a home that is built before a homebuyer makes a purchase. It is constructed using builder specifications (hence, “spec”) and most are move-in ready or at least available for a quick possession.
Spec homes offer a fantastic opportunity for new homebuyers who are looking to move quickly without compromising on quality. These homes are already constructed or near completion, eliminating the lengthy wait times typically associated with building a custom home from scratch.
Warner says spec homes are an excellent option for new homebuyers because they offer convenience and great value, and Daytona’s spec homes are a cut above the rest, and they have several ready for quick possession.
“Daytona knows what works and what doesn’t work in a home based on their three decades of experience building thousands of homes and are bringing high-quality homes to the market that have been designed for comfortable living. These homes are move-in ready, eliminating the sometimes-lengthy construction process.”
Comfort is paramount
Through all this frenetic action, Daytona Homes’ commitment to providing comfort to its buyers remains paramount.
Finding comfort in our lives in is a goal everyone strives towards, but creating comfort through design takes skill and expertise, Warner says. “At Daytona Homes, the goal has always been focused on creating comfort not just in the home but in the entire process of buying and building a home.”
For the last three decades, Daytona Homes has marked its success in the comfort they have been able to provide their clients with efficient, functional homes designs, and customer service that goes above and beyond expectations.
“All our decisions are centred around people,” Warner says. “Affordability, thoughtful floor plans, easy options, and material quality are integral to our process and ensure we are delivering on our high-quality promise.”
They are also adept in coming up with fresh, innovative home designs that blend life with style and affordability. “Daytona is committed to innovation, creating homes designed and priced for how our homeowners live,” Warner says.
