For the past three decades, Daytona Homes has built a reputation for crafting stylish, lifestyle-oriented homes in Alberta that are designed with people at heart. As Daytona heads into its 31st year in 2024, it is aiming to expand business in Calgary while continuing to deliver high-quality homes that are attainable for homebuyers.

Founded in 1993 by Ralph Hutchinson, Daytona Homes has been steadily growing, and now the company has expanded into multiple cities across Canada, invested in numerous communities, and innovated its housing products to meet the evolving needs of its homebuyers.

“With more than 30 years of industry-leading experience, Daytona Homes is one of Calgary’s most trusted family home builders,” says Craig Bieber, Vice-President, Daytona Homes Calgary. “Our expertise and commitment to quality is at the core of every process and approach. From material and product selections through to delivering a highly functional and inspiring space, we’re proud to craft affordable, high-quality homes for families.”

Calgary expansion

The Alberta-based homebuilder has been increasing its business in Calgary, capturing a growing market share in just over five years with its focus on quality and customer care.

“As a member of the Daytona family, you can trust that you’re in good hands,” Bieber says. “With a large team spanning across Western Canada, we are able to stay ahead of the curve in design and innovation, while locally we focus on delivering exceptional service to our homeowners.”

They have three showhomes in the Calgary region and are about to open a fourth. “A majority of our buyers in Calgary are mainly second- and third -time move up buyers,” Bieber says and their home designs here reflect this demand.

“In the upcoming year, we’re focused on introducing more models that cater to the evolving market, ultimately supporting homeownership,” Bieber says. “Our dedication extends to our customers, employees, trades, suppliers, and partners, all collaborating to craft new homes and an unparalleled home buying experience.”

Crafted with care

Daytona Homes’ unstinting efforts to top notch quality standards is credited for their success, and Bieber adds that it all comes out of a belief in building with people at heart.

“Truly everything we do comes back to building. Together, we build shelter, teams, connections and community–and we do it all with integrity and the utmost attention to detail. The quality of our craftsmanship is forever driven by the pride, sense of belonging and comfort we want our home buyers and their families to feel every time they walk through their front door.”

He says this approach is seen in their steadfast commitment to affordability, thoughtful design, quality materials and skilled trades. “Our team, partners, customers and communities can count on us to always put people first and lead with care,” Bieber says.

Creating wow

In the Calgary region, Daytona Homes currently builds in six communities, with more coming soon. These include Rangeview by Section 23 and Walden in the southeast; Livingston in the northwest; Harmony in Springbank just west of Calgary; and Heartland and the new community of Southbow in Cochrane.

They have three showhomes currently, each one has its own unique touches and a “wow factor” that has made them a must-see in all the communities they are in.

In Harmony, Daytona’s Silverstone laned home is a stunner that has a third-floor loft with a wet bar. The horizontal iron railing in all three levels of finished space is a stand-out feature – so is the large main kitchen with quartz backsplash and waterfall island.

The front-drive garage four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath Austyn in Heartland is every family’s dream home. It features two-tone kitchen cabinets, a beautiful shiplap fireplace in the great room and a large bonus room that provides families with some extra space to gather that’s away from the main floor.

Not to be missed, the Breeze front-drive garage showhome in Walden has a vaulted ceiling master bedroom with exposed beams that guarantees everyone who visits will remember it. A linear fireplace in the ensuite above a free-standing tub gives it a shot of luxurious elegance.

Daytona Homes is excited to be opening even more showhomes next year, Bieber says. They are planning to open a new one in Section 23’s Rangeview on January 4, 2024. They have another opening in spring in Walden, one more slated for the fall in Harmony, and three in the new community of Southbow in Cochrane by the fall of 2024.

Comfortable craftsmanship

Comfort is the underlying theme in any Daytona Homes design, but that also extends through the whole homebuying process. “At Daytona Homes, comfort matters and can be felt throughout every space we shape,” Bieber says. “We know purchasing a home is one of the most important decisions a person will make in their lifetime. Just because it’s a big moment doesn’t mean it should be a complicated one. It should be filled with comfort and a sense of trust. One of the greatest compliments we get from our home buyers is how we shift a stressful process to an exciting one by showing expertise, support and care throughout their home buying journey.”
