Elegant, luxurious West83 townhomes are hot in 2025
January 03, 2025
For the aspiring homebuyer in the New Year, there’s a new phase for Trico Homes’ hit West83 townhomes where they can start a new life in.
Fashionable and spacious townhomes for modern living, West83 offers the ultimate, stylish lifestyle in this much sought after corner of Calgary’s southwest.
West83 has been a big hit for Trico Homes, as the first 75-townhome phase is all but sold out, a stellar feat considering that it only launched about a year ago. But that’s not such a surprise considering that buyers are raving of its elegant, luxurious design and prime location in the heart of a quiet, amenity-rich, and upscale neighbourhood.
“Our vision for West83 sets a new standard on the west end: it’s an effortlessly cool, timeless style that will ensure sophistication and livability for years to come,” says Area Sales Manager Adam Zymirski.
Phase 2, which will also comprise of 75 townhomes, comes just in time as the initial phase only has eight quick possession homes remaining. “Phase 1 is 95 percent sold, and the entire phase will be construction complete in March 2025. Phase 2 was just released and is starting construction in January 2025,” Zymirski says.
At the heart of it all
Location is a big part of West83’s appeal, as it is in the heart of West Springs, Calgary’s Trendiest New Neighbourhood, with the very best shops, dining, fitness studios, schools, and services.
Nestled on rolling hills above downtown Calgary, West83 fits in nicely, as West Springs is already home to a prestigious collection of upscale residences and urban amenities.
“With Stoney Trail access now only two kilometres away, a brand new Sobey’s opening soon just two blocks away, it offers plenty of convenience and accessibility. Everything is within walking distance,” Zymirski says.
“Downtown Calgary is also just 20 minutes away via Bow Trail. There’s no need to contend with traffic on Deerfoot Trail heading north or deep into the south. On the weekends, if you’re ready for some alpine adventure, you’ve got a head start on the rest of the city, with the TransCanada Highway and points west just minutes away.”
West 83 is also surrounded by five schools, including some of the best schools in the city. “We have many buyers who want to live here for access to the surrounding schools,” he adds.
Professionally styled
Trico knew how special West83 was going to be, and collaborated with Calgary’s own interior design celebrity, Alykhan Velji, to curate the stylish and timeless look of these beautiful townhomes.
Renowned in Canada’s design scene, Aly is known as a master of mixing styles, patterns and textures to create unique interior spaces and environments that extend beyond current trends and retain an enduring appeal.
The two showhomes not only reflect Aly’s stylish sensibilities, but also Trico’s expertise when it comes to well-designed living spaces for townhomes.
“The standard specification offered at West83 are elevated with features included such an open railing, all window coverings included, oversized balconies, and all appliances included,” Zymirski says.
But the biggest draw has been the total lifestyle package offered in West83. “We offer the best value per square-foot in the whole West Springs community for new townhomes, and it’s an incredible opportunity to be a part of an already well-established community. There are so many exciting things happening in the community that homebuyers today will enjoy seeing how much their value will increase,” Zymirski adds. “We are only a one block walk to 85th Street and the future Radio Park & Broadcast Avenue.”
Designed for modern living
West83 offers townhomes ranging in size from 15-, 17- and up to 20-feet in width. Two- and three-bedroom models are available.
Having such a wide variance in floorplans allows West 83 to appeal to as wide a range of buyers as possible.
“We have three different floors plans: small, medium, and large. This is appealing for first-time home buyers, as well as downsizing families that are moving from homes that are over 2,000 square-feet,” Zymirski says.
There are three different townhome models, ranging in size from 1,290 to over 1,800-square-feet. Prices start from $589,900 including GST,” he adds.
A new colour palette, Spanish Modern, is being introduced exclusively in the new phase, with three options to enable buyers to select the style that suits them best. “Every one of our three models can add an entry level den option,” he says.
“We have homes with south, north and west exposure, so come in early to get the home that fits you,” Zymirski adds.
A range of choices
Available are the Emerson at 1,290 square-feet; the Granville at 1,381 square-feet; and the Oakwood at 1,822 square-feet. The Emerson and Granville are double tandem garages, which measure approximately 36-feet long and 12-feet wide.
“These tandem garages are very spacious and allow for two-car parking as well as storage. The Oakwood has a double wide attached garage (19.3- by 20.9-feet) with high ceilings.”
Zymirski says prices are very attractive starting in the high $500’s for the Emerson, low $600’s for the Granville, and $770,000 for the Oakwood, GST included.
“Our nearest competitors only have one model, which is comparable to our Oakwood, but is more expensive and is 116 square-feet smaller,” he points out.
Top notch standards are also a big part of the appeal. “Purchasers are pleasantly surprised that our homes come standard with high quality blinds to every window, metal spindle railing on all levels, under cabinet lighting, appliances, full height cabinets, 1-¼-inch Quartz throughout, and the list goes on,” he says.
Other popular options available include turning the office into a tandem garage for either the Emerson or Granville, or adding an entry level bedroom/bathroom for the Oakwood to convert this into a four-bedroom and three-and-a-half-bathroom home, Zymirski says.
Modern showhomes
The Oakwood showhome features an entry level bed/bath option with the Refined Rustic colour palette, while the Granville showhome features the dark and moody colour palette. “This allows our visitors to view two of the three palettes we now offer. The Emerson, which we don’t have a showhome for, is just a bit smaller than the Granville and has a very similar layout,” he adds.
High ceilings with oversized windows add to the feeling of freedom and spaciousness, the wall mount oven and microwave option in the showhome brings sophisticated elegance to the proceedings, and the LVP flooring through most of the living spaces adds stylish, sturdy comfort.
West 83 answers plenty of buyers’ needs. “We see a lot of downsizers from the surrounding areas, as well as young professionals and families that are wanting to own a home in West Springs. Due to our proximity to downtown, universities, grocery, schools, mountains, as well as many restaurants and gyms, our homes and location appeal to a wide variety of people.”
