Excel Homes’ Fleetwood is finely tuned for the family. So well tuned, in fact, that it has been one of the builder’s top sellers, because it fits all of a growing family’s needs.

The 2,658-square-foot front-drive garage home in Keswick Landing has the features that many love about the Fleetwood, like the open-concept main floor and the central bonus room at the top of the stairs to the second floor.

Excel Homes has added a walk-through pantry and an upstairs laundry for extra practicality. It also has four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, which is just an inkling of its full potential.

“We understand that families need as much storage as they can get, and the Fleetwood’s walk-through pantry is spacious enough for the needs of a growing family, plus the added convenience of having it so accessible to the garage. Putting away groceries is much easier this way,” says Excel Homes’ marketing coordinator, Mackenzie Morey.

The Fleetwood is ideal for growing, modern families who love the flexibility that this plan offers, with the ability to add a third-level loft option or fully developed basement options.

“Teenagers love to have these options, and they particularly love the thought of having the loft to themselves,” Morey says.

The Fleetwood’s open-concept kitchen with eating nook is a feature that appeals particularly to young, busy families. “It gives them the space they need for a quick breakfast at the eating nook or just at the island. Having these seamlessly connect to the grand great room also makes it a great spot for entertaining,” Morey says.

Upstairs the master bedroom and master ensuite are positioned opposite three additional bedrooms, with the bonus room smack in the middle at the top of the stairs.

Morey says this makes it a perfect shared space for the family for movie nights or a fun round of board games, but it also acts as a buffer between the kids’ rooms and their parents’ room. Sometimes that’s the key to family harmony. The bonus room
even has a handy tech nook where one can set up a laptop (or even a desktop computer) for schoolwork.

The Keswick Landing show home also has the laundry room upstairs. “We have relocated the laundry room to the second floor, no more lugging laundry around the house,” she says.

Like all of Excel Homes’ single-family models, the Fleetwood has a ton of options to suit the needs of most families. Three-bedroom options are available with all bedrooms coming with walk-in closets, and as mentioned a developed loft option or basement is always popular with buyers.

In light of the recent safety lockdown brought about by the pandemic, Excel Homes show homes in Edmonton are only available to view by appointment only.

The builder does have a website that allows prospective buyers to view show homes virtually. “We have a 360-degree virtual tour for this model - the Fleetwood show home in Savanna. As well as tours, photos and floorplans of our other models available on our website,” Morey says.

Web visitors can also find their most up-to-date response on the COVID-19 crisis there. Morey says the ever-changing situation regarding the pandemic requires similarly quick responses from builders, and Excel Homes has been able to rise to the challenge. “We’ve been able to adapt processes that informs and ensure our clients of what we are doing to cope with the situation. We are offering online tours, personalized phone calls and private appointments, we are keep the process simple and enjoyable, we are still here for you and your family.”
