Flexibility is key in Parallel Bloc

They may be the new kid on the block in Crestmont West but Trico Homes’ new townhome development– Parallel Bloc – promises a refined urban lifestyle in a nature endowed location in the southwest.

Parallel Block brings the best in urban sophistication amidst the everyday beauty of southern Alberta’s majestic Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. “It is a place where nature and the best of urban living co-exist,” says area manager, Natalia Widomska.

But what may be its best feature is the flexibility of its floorplans, a rare attribute in the townhome set.

“The advantage to Parallel Bloc is its flexible living spaces and price point. There’s literally something for everyone, including number of bedrooms, optional retreat spaces, fireplaces, developed basement, and select walkouts available. This project also includes a private central courtyard surrounded by scenic views,” Widomska says.

“Our superb specifications are also a perfect match for those looking to affordably move-up or right-size in this desirable part of the city,” she adds.

Phase one was recently released and Parallel Bloc is officially opening its two show homes on Saturday, February 13th. “We have begun taking appointments for private tours/sneak peeks and the feedback so far has been very positive! Our show homes are beautifully designed, and the groups that have come through have mentioned how great the flow of the homes is, and how spacious they feel,” Widomska says.

Parallel Bloc will have 51 townhomes ranging in size from 1,387 to 1,546 square-feet. These are open concept townhomes with attached double garages and a developable basement.

There are four floorplans available and include dual master bedroom, three- and up to four-bedroom models. Prices start from the mid $300’s.
“We feature the Summit floorplans in both our showhomes – The End Unit has two master bedrooms, fireplace and a developed walkout basement that includes office space and an additional flex room. The Mid Unit has three bedrooms and an undeveloped walkout basement. Both homes include an attached two car garage and large balcony.”

Also available are The Retreat starting at 1,385 square-feet; The Haven from 1,387 square-feet; The Summit from 1,528 square-feet, and The Latitude from 1,432 square-feet.

Every townhome has nine-foot ceilings on the main floor, granite or quartz countertops in the kitchens and bathrooms, luxury vinyl tile in the laundry and full bathrooms, one-inch Venetian blinds in all windows, and a stainless steel appliance package. And much more.

Crestmont West is the latest phase of the greater Crestmont community and the timeless appeal of this quaint, family-friendly neighbourhood just off Highway 1 is a big part of Parallel Bloc’s success.

“Crestmont is such a fantastic community, it has something for every lifestyle. It is located 20 minutes from downtown and it’s just 40 minutes to the mountains, and while the community itself is very quiet it has great access to nearby amenities where you can get everything that you need,” she says.

Crestmont is just a little west of Canada Olympic Park and there are many recreational and shopping opportunities in the area that community residents can take advantage of. It is in the desirable west side of Calgary that offers a secluded lifestyle with the perfect balance of work, play and natural greenspace.

“On top of the great location, it is super family friendly! About 30 per cent of the community is made up of parks, green spaces, and connecting pathways – the community association offers a splash park and an off-leash dog area for residents to use so there is always something to do!”

The show homes are opening in February and interested parties can book an in-person, walk-through visit but informative, virtual tours are also available. Trico Homes says they are observing all health protocols in their showhomes in keeping with Alberta Health guidelines.
