Glamourous Bridle Path Estate listed for $25 million

The iconic french chateau located at 68 Bridle Path has just hit the market and, like most houses in the area, it's absolutely stunning. Former owner, financier Robert Campeau, built the house in the early 1980s. Years later, it was sold to the current owners, who revamped the entire home, turning it into a place of pure elegance.

The 28,000-sq.-ft. mansion sits on more than four acres of land. Architect Gordon Ridgely and interior designer Brian Gluckstein were recruited to create what realtor Barry Cohen describes as “an authentic French Chateau that truly transports prospective purchasers to another time and place.”

The 10-bedroom, 14-bathroom house holds decor pieces form all over the world that date back to the 17th century. Crystal Chandeliers hang high from the ceilings and works of art cover the walls. The home has an Olympic-size swimming pool that is just as elegant as the rest of the home with its retractable floor that converts into a ballroom.

The home’s greatness has not gone unnoticed, including by those in Hollywood. The house was featured in Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s hit movie, It Takes Two, and last year appeared in an episode of Suits. Additionally, the home has been blessed by Cardinal Carter, and has had some famous guests, including Pierre Elliot Trudeau and Jane Fonda.
