Measure Twice, Cut Once podcast

The Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) recently released episode #38 in its podcast, Measure Twice, Cut Once. In this episode, host Chris Hall discusses BOSS, which stands for Building Offsite Sustainable System. Hall addresses ways homeowners can reduce the impact of their housing footprint with BOSS, a factory-built wall system designed to build higher Energy Step Code level homes, including passive house. Developed by B Collective, BOSS is an open-source system, which the company hopes will help advance the learning curve to lower building costs, improve building efficiencies and increase quality of output. “With BOSS, you are getting carbon reduction and thicker walls. BOSS dramatically reduces the on-going operating energy that you put into your house,” says Hall. Available for download now: havan.ca/episode-38-boss-building-solutions.
