In life, change is inevitable – and the time has come for the Beaverbrook Group of Companies to progress to the next stage of its life. The renowned Edmonton land developer and homebuilder will now be known as Cantiro.

The new brand and its website cantiro.ca will launch on October 1. New Cantiro show homes will follow over the next few months, including a new sales centre design launching in The Hills of Charlesworth in November.

For over a quarter of a century, Beaverbrook Group of Companies has provided Edmonton and area with some of the best award-winning home and community designs and other real estate ventures. Its divisions included Dolce Vita Homes, MODA, InHouse, Beaverbrook Communities, and Beaverbrook Commercial.

By collecting all these varied brands under one banner – Cantiro – the company hopes to bolster its already impressive market presence.

“Beaverbrook Communities, Dolce Vita Homes, and our other divisions including MODA and InHouse, have always been dedicated to building high-quality homes and innovative communities. But with all our divisions operating under different names and visual identities, many of our customers did not realize or understand our full capabilities as an integrated real estate company,” says CEO and Founder, George Cantalini.
“With a single unified brand, our presence in the market will be even stronger. And though our name is changing, our commitment to building, designing and delivering on the best communities and homes has not,” he adds.

“A consistent name and visual identity will help us establish strong brand recognition. The change will allow us to work more collaboratively, and share learnings, perspectives and experiences.” Part of Cantiro’s new brand is the tagline “Amazing lives happen here”, which connects to their organizations’ purpose of creating the environments for amazing lives to happen. Cantiro is setting their standard at amazing – promising their customers a better life.

Cantiro (pronounced: kan-TEE-ro) will be operating as one brand with the following divisions: Cantiro Homes (formerly Dolce Vita Homes and MODA Townhomes), Cantiro Communities (formerly Beaverbrook Communities); Cantiro Commercial (formerly Beaverbrook Commercial) and Cantiro Residential Rentals for their upcoming residential rental portfolio.

For over 25 years, Beaverbrook has forged a path to success, producing about 200 homes per year in 10 communities in Edmonton and surrounding areas, including Spruce Grove and Leduc.

Cantiro Homes will collect Dolce Vita Homes and MODA under its umbrella, and remains dedicated to building townhomes, duplexes, and single-family homes of beauty and quality – with a commitment to customers and environmental integrity.

In land development, Cantiro will pick up where Beaverbrook Communities left off. They have welcomed families in over 20 communities around Edmonton and surrounding areas and transformed over 7,000 acres of raw land into well-loved communities. They have 15 completed projects and nine more are currently in various stages of development. These include The Hills at Charlesworth in southeast Edmonton, which recently won the prestigious Royal Town Planning Institute’s International Award for Planning Excellence for its Sustainability Plaza.

The story behind Cantiro is simple. It is an homage to Cantalini’s mentor, Tony Cairo, that combines their surnames. Cantalini says it’s a way of honouring his mentor who had instilled in him the values and spirit of entrepreneurship that remain fundamental to the company today.

The Cantiro name will continue the homegrown legacy of success that Beaverbrook started a quarter of a century ago.

“The name represents every person who is or has been part of the company and welcomes everyone who joins in the future. It celebrates the teamwork that has taken us to where we are today and will drive our success for decades to come,” Cantalini adds with pride.
