The pealing laughter of children resonated through the day, as Rohit Land Development hosted a Garden Party to celebrate the opening of Kinglet Gardens. It was a memorable event that also offered a glimpse into the family-friendly design of its newest community in the northwest.

Held on September 17, it was Rohit’s biggest community launch in two years, and it was a big hit with hundreds of attendees eager to see the community’s newest showhomes and enjoy the early fall afternoon with tons of fun activities.

Jedidiah Nibre, Senior Marketing Coordinator, at Rohit Land Development, says the event was meticulously planned to bring people of differing lifestyles and pursuits together and show them the immense possibilities that living here can bring.

“More than 400 people attended the event for an afternoon of scavenger hunt and lawn games, prizes and giveaways, garden-themed eats and treats, pony rides from Thistle Hill Farms, tour of the showhomes, live music, and the opening of the playground,” Nibre tells Edmonton New Home + Condo Guide.

The community’s central location in the northwest made it truly accessible for residents from surrounding areas to check out. “The Kinglet Gardens Garden Party was one of the most attended events we’ve hosted,” she says, as Rohit received over 200 entries for their $5000 outdoor entertainment package giveaway.

Nibre says the event was blessed with wonderful early fall weather that added to the enjoyment.

She says people were showing up as early as 10 a.m., three hours before the event. “We had a line up starting at noon as people were eager to partake in our scavenger hunt and garden activities. The playground was a huge draw throughout the entire day, and there was not a moment when it was empty!”

Kinglet Gardens already proved the functionality of its design to handle the crowds, as the community already has 110 parking stalls in the future neighbourhood commercial site and plenty of street parking within the neighbourhood. “They were all utilized during the event,” Nibre points out. “The parking lot was full within an hour of the opening.”

Rohit Land Development expertly designed Kinglet Gardens to have an almost universal appeal to homebuyers, crafting it into a community where nature and nurture come to life. The community boasts a park and playground, community gardens, and a pond. As part of the Big Lake community, Kinglet Gardens is close to wildlife and lake activities for the whole family.

The main attraction, of course were the showhomes featuring three front-attached garage homes and one front-attached garage duplex. “Three more showhomes are planned to open in the coming months,” Nibre says.

Among those that made their debut was Blackstone HomesNew Castle 1C. At 2,128 sq. ft., this front-attached double car garage features three bedrooms, and two-and-a-half bathrooms, a main floor den, and a centrally located bonus room. The main floor features a chef’s dream kitchen with lots of cabinetry, large countertops, seemingly unlimited storage space, and a walk-in pantry. The 18-feet high ceilings in the great room adorned with large windows allows for an abundance of natural lighting.

Victory Homes opened two showhomes including, Hasina and Zeus, which are brand new models exclusively designed for Kinglet Gardens. Hasina is a 2,326 sq. ft. with an oversize double car garage. It has a contemporary open concept design with a modern, two-tone kitchen with chef-grade appliances, white countertops, and upgraded custom cabinets. The mesmerizing family room that is just off the kitchen with access to the backyard, has a beautiful fireplace wall with tall windows that welcomes natural light & fresh air from all sides. The master bedroom on the second floor has a luxurious five-piece attached ensuite and walk-in closet along with an access to the laundry from the inside. There are two more bedrooms, a gym room plus a bonus room for extra living space. And lastly, the fully developed basement is set up for lounging and entertaining with two bedrooms and a wet bar.

Zeus is a 1,548 sq. ft. modern and chic duplex home with a high-raised great room designed to entertain and host parties – unusual for a duplex. The main floor has a designer kitchen complete with an eating bar and a nook area. The master bedroom on the second floor offers a luxurious five-piece ensuite bath and walk-in closet. This model features two more bedrooms, a bonus room, and a legal basement with a separate entrance.

Rohit Communities’ Sicily is 2,107 sq. ft. This front-attached double car garage home features an open concept floor plan between kitchen, dining and living room, offering a hyper-functional space for entertaining friends and family. The second floor offers a central bonus room and three bedrooms including a master bedroom with walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom. Thisis the newest to open of their experiential showhomes and themed as the Rohit Campus, inspired by sleek architecture, innovative ideas, and international tech hubs.

ART Homes’ showhome will be available for viewing shortly, as well.

Kinglet Gardens holds an appeal to the widest range of homebuyers as it offers a variety of home types to fit any lifestyle and budget, including single-family homes with front attached garages and with rear detached garages, duplexes and townhomes.

It will have two types of duplex homes: a front-back model, which features one-half of the duplex with a front-attached garage and the other half with a rear-detached one. This provides an aesthetically pleasing streetscape allowing for more landscaping in the front yards. The community also features standard front-drive duplexes.

On build-out, Kinglet Gardens is anticipated to have around 500 homes appealing to both first-time homebuyers and move-up buyers. In that sense, it is a boutique neighbourhood and with all the amenities in the centre of the community, neighbours can easily get to know each other.

It has the environment to nurture such bonds, Kinglet Gardens is a short drive to the Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park that adds to its nature-connected allure.

Nibre says buyers can trust that Rohit remains committed to developing exceptional communities, with a number of projects in the pipeline.

Rohit is ready to launch Cambrian in Sherwood Park, Cherot in St. Albert, and Parkside in Southwest Edmonton soon. “We will be offering exciting amenities and new product types in the respective communities. We have also added additional new lots in our existing Southwest communities, Ridgecrest at Glenridding Ravine and Arbours of Keswick, as well as newly released ravine lots in our award-winning Woodhaven Edgemont in west Edmonton.”

Clearly big things are still to happen through the year and on to 2023 with Rohit Land Development and the rest of the Rohit Group. For more information on Kinglet Gardens, go to www.kingletgardens.com and on other Rohit developments at www.rohitland.com
