People will believe in love at first sight again when they see Trico Homes’ new West 83 showhomes. The recently opened showhomes exhibit the impeccable, curated style that the new luxury townhome development offers in Calgary’s much coveted southwest.

What’s not to love? Located just off Old Banff Coach Road in West Springs, West 83 is close to all the rich cultural, commercial, and entertainment amenities of this corner of southwest Calgary. Then there’s the well-designed, luxuriously appointed townhomes themselves, designed by Calgary’s own interior design star, Aly Velji.

“West 83 is our newest luxury townhome community, and the newly opened showhomes were very warmly received,” says Adam Zymirski, Sales Manager of Trico’s West 83 Townhomes.

The lifestyle offered here is what buyers will find so irresistible, as residents are guaranteed to love the community that offers nearly any amenity they need close by.

“We offer the best value per square-foot in the whole West Springs community for new townhomes, and it’s an incredible opportunity to be a part of an already well-established community at our early bird pricing. There are so many exciting things happening in the community that homebuyers today will enjoy seeing how much their value will increase,” he adds.

West 83 will have 150 exclusive opportunities available (Phase I – 75 Units, and Phase II – 75 Units), with homes ranging in size from 15-, 17- and up to 20-feet in width. Two- and three-bedroom models are available, and they are selling quick.

Having such a wide variance in floorplans allows West 83 to appeal to as wide a range of buyers as possible.

“We have three different floors plans: small, medium, and large. This is appealing for first-time home buyers, as well as downsizing families that are moving from homes that are over 2,000 square-feet,” Zymirski says.

Available are the Emerson at 1,290 square-feet; the Granville at 1,381 square-feet; and the Oakwood at 1,796 square-feet. The Emerson and Granville are double tandem garages, which measure approximately 36-feet long and 12-feet wide.

“These tandem garages are very spacious and allow for two-car parking as well as storage. The Oakwood has a double wide attached garage (19.3- by 20.9-feet) with high ceilings.”

Zymirski says prices are very attractive starting in the high $500’s for the Emerson, low $600’s for the Granville, and low $700’s for the Oakwood, GST included.

Top notch standards are also a big part of the appeal. “Purchasers are pleasantly surprised that our homes come standard with high quality blinds to every window, metal spindle railing on all levels, under cabinet lighting, appliances, full height cabinets, 1-¼-inch Quartz throughout, and the list goes on,” he says.

Other popular options available include turning the office into a tandem garage for either the Emerson or Granville, or adding a main floor bedroom/bathroom for the Oakwood to convert this into a four-bedroom and three-and-a-half-bathroom home, Zymirski says.
The Oakwood showhome features an entry-level bed/bath option with the Refined Rustic colour palette, while the Granville showhome features the dark and moody colour palette. “This allows our visitors to take a look at both palettes. The Emerson, which we don’t have a showhome for, is just a bit smaller than the Granville and has a very similar layout,” he adds.

High ceilings with oversized windows add to the feeling of freedom and spaciousness, the wall mount oven and microwave option in the showhome brings sophisticated elegance to the proceedings, and the LVP flooring through most of the living spaces adds stylish, sturdy comfort.

The townhomes were designed with the homeowner in mind, with bright and spacious living spaces that offer plenty of storage, and impeccable design taste.

“The Aly Velji Design Team brings a lot to the table,” Zymirski adds. “With the exquisite design, and an amazing taste with regards to interior selections, it’s no wonder why his team is in such high demand!”

Living in the west side brings its own glamour too. There are plenty of shopping options in the area with several groceries to choose from, West Side Recreation Centre is just down the road, there are a wide selection of boutique diners and restaurants around, as well as green spaces and outdoor family amenities.

“Getting around the city is no problem either, as we’re just off Old Banff Coach Road, and the nearing completion of the Stoney Trail ring road will undoubtedly add to the accessibility of the area, whether you need to go downtown or make a quick trip to the mountains,” Zymirski says.

West 83 answers plenty of buyers’ needs. “We see a lot of downsizers from the surrounding areas, as well as young professionals and families that are wanting to own a home in West Springs. Due to our proximity to downtown, universities, grocery, schools, mountains, as well as many restaurants and gyms, our homes and location appeal to a wide variety of people.”
