Maple Crest a community in bloom

Maple Crest was designed to offer ease of living through an abundance of home styles and a wealth of amenities, and the dream is quickly becoming a reality as this young southeast Edmonton community moves to its latest phase.

A promotional event showcasing the community’s showhomes in the fall was an outstanding success as participants not only had fun competing for prizes – in a safe and orderly manner complying with all health guidelines – but also to open their eyes to the lasting appeal of the community itself.

The contest ran from the end of September until the third week of October. Participants who came to the showhomes got the chance to fill out a ballot and enter a draw to win. Each showhome had a unique prize, which ranged from an electric scooter to a new drill/driver set.

“We had several people come out and participate, and there were quite a few who even entered at every single showhome!” says Giang Nguyen, General Manager of Dream Development. “The feedback was quite positive, as not only did participants have a chance to win, but their only requirement was to tour a great showhome!”

There are seven new showhomes in Phase 8, says Nguyen. “Homes by Avi and Akash Homes have detached garage duplexes, which were just reintroduced after being unavailable for several years in Maple Crest. Crystal Creek Homes, Coventry Homes, and Bedrock Homes have front attached garage, single family homes,” he says.

“The new showhomes have been met with positive feedback, for sure,” Nguyen says. “The new detached garage duplex showhomes offer home buyers a lot more options with their build, which consumers definitely appreciate! And the single-family homes are beautiful to tour, so they’ve received a lot of positivity for their decor choices, lovely large kitchens and bathrooms, as well as interesting features like a spice kitchen or entertainment room.”

The newest phase of the over 166-hectare community exemplifies the kind of living that can be found in Maple Crest. “Maple Crest exists on the core values of living with ease, living with nature, and living with choice. These values exist because the community has all three in a comfortable package,” Nguyen says. “With Fulton Marsh and Fulton Creek at the heart of the community, as well as beautiful greenspaces, and a playground, Maple Crest has so much to offer.”

The community is also just minutes away from an abundance of shopping, restaurants, financial institutions, a transit centre, and, soon, a brand-new Landmark movie theatre. “Along with all these great choices, we have amazing builders who let you choose from a wide variety of builds and floorplans,” Nguyen points out.

Besides the seven new showhomes, Maple Crest has four duplex showhomes by Landmark Homes, and Look Master Builders. “With 11 showhomes in total, you can really see the variety of homes you can build in Maple Crest,” he adds. “We do not have a home resident association fee so there is no additional cost to enjoy this great community. Maple Crest really is for everyone.”
The community is a little under 60 per cent developed with just over 3500 residents. Dream anticipates over 6,000 residents here on full build-out with over 2,600 homes.

Nguyen says residents enjoy the fact that they have easy access to major transportation corridors of Whitemud and Henday. “Which means they are well connected to the rest of the city, and there’s ample shopping and restaurants just a few minutes away. With all our walking trails, full size trees, and Fulton Marsh and Fulton Creek, it’s a lovely place to live!”

With home prices starting from the low $300s, it is not surprising that the community has become such a popular choice.
Best of all, it is backed by Dream Development’s nearly 40 years of experience — the company has developed communities in Edmonton and all over Western Canada. “We strive to create value-rich, family-oriented communities that cater to every lifestyle. All of Dream’s developments offer vast greenspaces and natural amenities, accessible playgrounds, and beautiful homes on secure streets,” Nguyen says.

Dream has developed communities in South Edmonton and Sherwood Park, including Mill Creek Meadows, Meadowbrook Ravines, Tamarack, Laurel Green, Strathcona Village, and The Ridge.
