New showhomes blossom in Calgary's exciting spring market
April 8, 2025
Spring is upon us, and not only is the most brilliant time to enjoy the warmer weather, it’s also the absolute best time to check out the latest showhomes, as Calgary’s homebuilders roll out their new lineup for the season.
Showhomes remain the most persuasive implement in the homebuilder’s marketing toolbox to display not only their skills and capabilities in building a home, but inspiring visitors with the aspirational qualities of the home’s lifestyle potential.
This spring’s new showhomes can be found in all the new communities in all four quadrants of Calgary, and in the surrounding region. The following is just a small sample of what’s out there.
Baywest Homes
Baywest Homes takes the time to pick the right showhome for the right neighbourhood. “Customers are so visual that a showhome is the best way to demonstrate the product you are selling,” says Marketing Manager, Sarah Fehr.
First, Baywest looks at the on overall layout. “If you pick the right showhome that meets your customer needs, your showhome model is often the best-selling home. Second to sell options and help customers further customize their home. Customers buy what they see. It is a great way to demonstrate these options.”
They have nine showhomes open currently with four new showhomes opening this year. A fan favorite, she says, is their new Wren laned showhome in the new southwest community of Creekview. At 1,953 square-feet, it has an open and inviting floorplan.
It features a main floor flex room perfect for a home office or even to run a small home business. In addition to the openness, customers are responding to the HUGE kitchen layout. It beats the size of many front garage homes!” Fehr says.
“Our laned homes look like estate homes but in a price point that is accessible to even first-time buyers.” Find out more at baywesthomes.com.
Calbridge Homes
Showhomes are such a crucial part of Calbridge Homes’ brand, says Edmundo Azuaje, Manager of Marketing & Communications, and it is their best chance to create a lasting impression. “The very first impression of who we are and what we bring forward as a company is our showhomes.”
Their showhomes are all a collaborative effort too. “From construction and the architecture team all the way to sales and marketing. Every department is involved in a way or another so when the showhome is revealed to the public, it really is celebrated as a collective because we all made contribution to bring that showhome to life.”
Calbridge currently has nine showhomes open spread across five communities – Mahogany in the southeast, Alpine Park in the southwest, Bayview in Airdrie, Fireside in Cochrane, and Clearwater in Chestermere. They will also have Street Town showhome coming this fall in Clearwater.
The Origin front-drive garage showhome in Clearwater is a game-changer for Calbridge. “This is our first showhome that shows multi-generational living. With five bedrooms, it really does have ample space for the entire family,” Azuaje says.
“In terms of interior design elements, our showhome highlights classic yet moody selections, where you will see a creamy colour palette grounded by darker wood tones. The result is a cozy, inviting atmosphere with earthy vibes, accented by bold pops of blue and gold that give the home its bold character.” Go to calbridgehomes.com for more.
