New showhomes paint a rosy picture for Woodbend

The young, dynamic community of Woodbend best exemplifies the easy, relaxed, family-friendly lifestyle Leduc is best known for. And the new showhomes opening in September will give it an even more irresistible appeal.

Luxurious, estate showhomes from Homes by SherBilt and Jacobs Construction are opening this month to kick off the new estate phase of the community on the northwest side of Leduc, close the Hwy 39.

Both Homes by SherBilt and Jacob’s Construction are Leduc-based custom home builders with years of experience, and partnering with developer Carrington Land, which also calls Leduc home, makes Woodbend a true local success story.

But that’s not all there is to get excited about Woodbend, says Laura Box, Marketing Manager at Carrington Land.

“There is a brand-new pond with walking trails that just opened that residents already love and use. An independent grocery store is confirmed and coming to the nearby Woodbend Market commercial centre that adds to the already long-list of in-community amenities. And a secondary school across the street from us is opening in 2024,” she says.

No wonder Woodbend has been particularly popular, and already has 162 homes sold, with still many years of growth left.

The new estate showhomes add to the single-family home showhome from Bedrock Homes that is already open. San Rufo Homes also builds in Woodbend.

The new estate homes from Homes by SherBilt and Jacobs Construction are on some of the most scenic lots in Woodbend backing onto a pond and greenspace.

“We’re the most affordable place to live in Leduc with homes starting in the $400,000s. It is super quiet, with friendly neighbours that have yearly block parties, and neighbourly events that build the bonds of a strong community,” Box says.

Woodbend also offers move-in ready homes for homebuyers needing shorter possession timelines.

Leduc is one of the fastest growing urban centres in Alberta, but it has not lost its small-town vibe. “Leduc truly has a small town feel with the big city amenities. Parks, walking trails and anything outdoor related is very important in Leduc,” Box says.

“It has all the amenities of Edmonton, but with a more relaxed feel, it is quiet, and neighbourly. You are 12 minutes from Costco, airport, and shopping mall. There is an awesome rec center, skate park, park spaces and downtown area in Leduc and if you work in Edmonton, it is still a very short commute.”

Located about 9 km away from the Edmonton International Airport, and about 33 km south from Edmonton itself. Leduc has become a top choice for homebuyers looking for affordability and a safe, secure community where they can plant the roots of family. But it has more to offer than just that.
