Summit Condos present the best of southwest living
May 22, 2026
It was a snowy, blustery day in March this year when most would rather stay indoors, but people still lined up hours ahead of the start of sales for Summit Condos in Wentworth South! Such was the excitement for the latest condo development from Trico Homes in what is promising to be the most sought-after community in the southwest.
Wentworth South, located on the corner of Bow Trail and 85th St SW and just off Stoney Trail, is envisioned to be the new residential community of choice in this amenity-filled, well-established area, and the Summit Condos will be at its very heart.
“There is some real excitement about Summit,” Trico Homes Marketing Director, Glenda Schwartz, told NextHome at the event. “We were surprised to have people lined up more than an hour before we opened, especially with the extreme winter weather.”
There is certainly a lot to be excited for in Summit. Not only does it offer a premier west-side location featuring a stylish modern vibe with durable concrete slab construction, but it is also part of a larger, integrated community that blends urban connection with suburban ease.
Peak performance
The Summit Condos is a 6-storey building with 164 suites. There are 21 spacious floorplans with a choice of 1 and 2-bedrooms + den. “Some suites have gorgeous mountain views,” says Area Sales Manager, Jessica Sorrell.
Most suites will have 9-foot ceilings, while top floor suites have 12-foot-high vaulted ceilings. All suites have an air conditioner, gas rough-ins, balconies, in-suite laundry with stacked washer and dryer, durable LVP flooring, full-height cabinetry, oversized windows, quartz countertops, with three modern designer colour palettes to choose from (standard and upgrade).
“This tech-smart building is designed for modern comfort and everyday convenience, and the versatile and flexible floorplans can fit a wide variety of lifestyles,” Sorrell adds.
It is a pet-friendly building with its Pet Relief Area (dog run) and will also have a community social room to gather and fitness centre with washroom for residents. There is an outdoor gathering space with chairs, tables, as well as a grand foyer with two-storey ceilings, soft seating, statement lighting and concierge kiosk. It’s a warm and inviting space while waiting for friends or an Uber ride.
But what gives it a further edge is that it is part of Trico Homes’ vision to create the perfect community in the southwest.
“Summit is part of a broader vision for Wentworth South, a master-planned community designed to offer a full spectrum of housing options, from estate, bungalow villas, and semi-estate homes to the condos available today. It’s about creating an inclusive community that enrich the quality of life for its residents and in the surrounding neighbourhoods,” she adds.
It’s a connected community with 9.26 acres of natural reserves and park spaces and pathways for residents to enjoy ample opportunities for outdoor activities and communing with nature.
Wentworth South will also include a senior retirement community, a variety of commercial spaces from a daycare, shopping and professional services, as well as a future proposed residential and commercial spaces.
A connected location
Summit Condos isn’t Trico’s first condo project, but it is its first in quite some time, Sorrell says. “We’ve delivered successful projects in the past, including in communities like Viridian in Sage Hill in the northwest.”
Since sales started in March, the reception has been overwhelmingly positive,” she adds. “Buyers are responding well to the variety of floorplans and the elevated interior finishes, which together deliver a sense of attainable luxury and a lifestyle that feels both refined and practical.”
The one- and two-bedroom floorplans entice buyers from all demographics, she says. “Summit appeals to a wide range of buyers, from first-time homeowners and young professionals to downsizers looking to simplify without leaving the community they love. Its mix of location, design, and lifestyle amenities makes it a strong fit for anyone seeking convenience, comfort, and connection on Calgary’s west side.”
Best of all, it is in the dynamic section of 85th St SW that already has a ton of well-established amenities. Some of Calgary’s best schools are in the area, boutique shopping, dining and everyday conveniences are readily available. Getting to the downtown is as easy as it is getting to the mountains. “That’s why this is one of the most sought-after locations in all of Calgary,” Sorrell says.
“You’ll find everything you want for comfort, convenience, and connection – at a surprisingly affordable price. Nestled amongst the best of west Calgary, you’ll be steps from shopping, dining, and everyday essentials – just 15 minutes from downtown by C-Train or car,” Sorrell says.
“Prices start from the low $300s, and first possessions should begin by 2028.
The Trico legacy
Competition is certainly tough in the condo market these days, but Trico remains confident about Summit – not only because of its outstanding features, but because of the culture and legacy that Trico itself brings.
“Our confidence in Summit comes down to product differentiation and location,” Sorrell says. “Concrete slab construction offers a quieter, more comfortable living experience, while our thoughtfully designed floorplans and elevated finishes appeal to buyers at every stage of life. Combined with strong access to nearby amenities, Stoney Trail, and transit networks, Summit delivers both everyday convenience and long-term value.”
But deeper than that is Trico’s own history of excellence. “At Trico Homes, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality construction that is second to none. Our homes are built to last, with attention to detail and top-tier materials used in every aspect of construction. We stand behind our work and are proud to be a member of the Alberta New Home Warranty Program, providing our customers with added peace of mind,” Schwartz says.
The connection between “doing well” and “doing good” has also helped shape Trico’s culture and purpose. “We do well when we create value for our customers and we do good when we build stronger, healthier, thriving communities. As Western Canada’s only Certified B Corp homebuilder, Trico is proud to belong to a community of leading global corporations dedicated to balancing purpose and profit and using business as a force for good.”
Of course, being named as one of 2025’s Best Workplaces in Alberta is also a major feather in its cap. It was the sixth time Trico has won this award. This year, Trico Homes was also recognized as 2026 Best Workplaces in Canada.
“We believe that building a home should be a stress-free and enjoyable process, and we work hard to ensure that our customers feel supported throughout the entire homebuilding process. Our team is always ready to answer any questions you may have and ensure that your needs are met every step of the way,” Schwartz says.
