Tamarack Homes: The Wellington Places First
May 14, 2015
With the melting ice on the world’s longest skating rink comes the thousands of runners to the Rideau Canal Pathways in preparation for the Tamarack Race Weekend on May 23-24. Tamarack Homes took over as the title sponsor in 2012 and oversaw last year’s 40th anniversary which brought close to 60,000 runners to the city’s downtown core.
Tamarack Homes strives to encourage Ottawans to “upgrade their lives” and continues to take steps towards developing top quality products for buyers. One of their newest developments, The Wellington, located in Hintonburg, is located on the marathon and half-marathon route for runners this Race Weekend. Close to the 7km mark of the race, runners can appreciate how close this new building is to downtown!
The first phase of the Wellington will include a six-story building with 52 units, located near all the trendy coffee shops, hair salons and clothing stores along Wellington St. Hintonburg is a thriving community, and as any runner can attest, running along Wellington St. is the most exciting part of the race as the streets are lined with cheering residents.
Hintonburg and Westboro are the trendiest places to live in Ottawa, and it is expected that these two neighbourhoods will only continue to grow in popularity and price, especially with the new LRT main station opening in 2018 at Tunney’s Pasture. Buyers looking to get into Hintonburg are best to do so soon!
