Village at Griesbach: Discover the Legacy

Village at Griesbach is one of the most beautiful communities in Alberta, and it has been voted the best community in the Edmonton area 10 times! Griesbach is one of the most award-winning communities in the province, and that’s because it has so much to offer!

This gorgeous community boasts several amenities that can be enjoyed year-round. There are several lakes and water features that showcase the luscious area in the summer and look wonderful in the winter as well! The community’s amenities are constantly expanding as well, which means that as the community grows so too do the access to fantastic water features and amenities.

Other amenities include a wide variety of parks and viewpoints. Patricia Lake & Park offer seating and some great views, or you can head over to Bedford Basin to see its lake from a high point! Ad Astra features a huge sculpture depicting a starburst, a famous aerobatic maneuver, that pays tribute to the Royal Canadian Airforce.

The community is currently in its 25th developmental stage, and new showhomes will be opening in the summer of 2021! That means if you haven’t seen the fantastic show home parade on Johnnie Caine Way, there’s still time to see them before they close as sales centers. Check out the fantastic show homes that were created by Coventry Homes, Pacesetter Homes, Concept Homes, and Homes by Avi. The parade also featured a show home by Impact Homes, but it was recently sold to a lucky new community member! Visitors are welcome to drop by as all the sales centres have moved back to regular hours. Just be sure to follow AHS recommendations and wear a mask!

The opening of a new showhome parade is part of the exciting growth the community is constantly experiencing. As new stages are introduced, new homes are built, and with it comes new community members who bring life and excitement to the wonderful community. Community members work together to put on great events and activities, build new playgrounds for their children to enjoy, and participate in the community gardens!

The community gardens are a fantastic amenity members of the community can book to participate in. Reserve a lot of land in the community gardens and you will have access to all the gardening supplies you could need to help your crop flourish. Plant fruits and vegetables, bond with other like-minded people, and add even more gorgeous flora to the community!

The community also features over five kilometres of walking trails around all the different lakes and monuments. Going for a walk through the expansive community is a sight to behold as the architecture and amenities work together to create a piece of art. Not only is it a beautiful walk, but you can get a great workout in! The walking paths offer enough distance for a great trek, and there’s also a number of hills to get your cardio in!

Central Hill Park is at the peak of Central Hill, a 90 foot summit in the centre of the community. You can see the entire, expansive community from Central Hill, as well as a lovely view of the downtown skyline. The hill is a spectacular spot in every season! In the winter families spend time tobogganing and having snowy fun, and in the summer then can go for walks, have picnics, and throw a ball around!

You can see the city skyline because Village at Griesbach is in an optimal location. Only a 12 minute drive from downtown, the community is in a perfect spot for those heading there for work. There is also ample access to transit taking you downtown and all over the city, including an LRT stop that the City of Edmonton has confirmed is coming in the LRT expansion.

Village at Griesbach has the look and feel of a suburban paradise, yet it sits within the Anthony Henday ring. This provides Griesbach with ample access to the entire city, yet when you’re in the community you find yourself not wanting to leave! The community was masterplanned, meaning at its inception, each development stage was pre-designed to make the community easy to understand and beautiful to look at.
