Mount Albion, also known as Albion Falls, is located on the east mountain, surrounded by beautiful trails and known for its waterfalls. It is bound by Upper Ottawa Street to Mohawk Road East, then down Mountain Brow Boulevard. and along Limeridge Road East. The area is perfect for active individuals wanting access to trails and sports facilities.
Nature lovers and athletes will rejoice at the number of hiking trails and sports facilities in the area that allow for a very active lifestyle. Mount Albion feels a bit secluded, but it has all the convenience of living on the mountain and being in between Hamilton and Stoney Creek.
This neighbourhood is very affordable in terms of cheap entertainment and affordable shopping destinations. The Giant Tiger and Farm Market are great amenities, and the fact that there’s no nightlife or bars in the immediate area might be a downside to some, but at least it will take care of your temptation to spend.
Though the neighbourhood has a lot of great amenities, residents find that they often have to travel a bit outside of the area for a larger selection of groceries and shopping. Though it is tucked out of city life, Mount Albion still remains accessible and relatively central to everything the city offers.
There is standard bus service in Mount Albion, and the plaza shopping and recreational facilities are within walking distance of many homes in the area. Of course having a vehicle will come in handy, but a car is not necessary to fully enjoy all of the benefits of this neighbourhood.
Though Mount Albion is a bit removed from the busy areas of the east Hamilton mountain compared to other neighbourhoods, there are still a few plaza malls that provide bargain shopping and groceries. Recreational activities dominate here, as evidenced by the many hiking trails, sports stadium as well as the arena
The area is home to a lot of longtime residents who love the quietness of Mount Albion. However, more recently, it has started to become a more desirable place for families due to the new developments cropping up in the area as well as the secluded, nature-oriented aspect of it.
Mount Albion feels a little bit removed from the rest of the City of Hamilton, as it is a small neighbourhood tucked behind the highway and the Red Hill trail. However, Albion Falls is the focal point of the community, with beautiful homes along the escarpment surrounding this main attraction.

Lisgar Park features soccer fields, a basketball court and much more. This large park is a popular spot for families, and is centrally located near the neighbourhood’s main shopping plaza.
Bernie Arbor Memorial Stadium is home to the Hamilton Redbirds baseball team. The stadium, which features large baseball games during the summer season, is a huge hit for Albion Fall residents.
Tucked in with Giant Tiger in a small shopping plaza, this indoor market is open all year round with some of the freshest produce as well as ready made goods.
These waterfalls are tucked in behind Mountain Brow Boulevard, and there is a beautiful trail that leads down from a lookout point. This is the spot to go if you're looking for a scenic hike.
